Picnics on the beach
The weather over the past few weeks has been really on and off. I really think we've had our fair share of rain now.
Anyway, we took advantage of a nice sunny day yesterday and trotted off to the beach at Estepona for a picnic with some friends. I know I go on a lot about Estepona but it really is great, particularly if you've got kids. There is a huge kids park there which they've just refurbished (not that there was much wrong with it) and the "paseo maritimo" is done really well.
The whole area was heaving yesterday around lunchtime. There was even some English folk having a swim...brrr...
We all sat and played with the kids for ages on the beach relishing that in the middle of February we can actually do this. Great.
Let's hope we get some more decent weather this week and they're forecasting rain again...sigh.
I'm off tomorrow with a friend to the racing circuit in Guadix. He's just bought himself a Radical so it should be fun. I'll let you know how it went.

I enjoy your blogs!
But what is a Radical?
FibbyUK (or rather ThickyUK)!
I am English but I grew up in Spain from around 1962 to 1984 (Up in the hills between Algeciras and Tarifa. Went to a local school and all my friends there were/are Spanish. I am now Married to an English man and have 4 English children! When I/we go to Spain we stay with my best friend who is a nurse married to a policeman who speak no English. We sit around watching tele in the winter and going out for the odd meal. In the summer we spend all the time outside in the pool or by the bbq. The kids study, the parent's work and meals with family and friends are a must. Open house, total hospitality and good food round a happy table is the name of the game regardless of the weather. I live most of the year in North London and this policy is in operation in my house here which is how I survive living in the UK. If people in the UK operated a slightly more friendly 'open house' policy the quality of life here would stand a chance of approaching that of Spain despite the rain which today happens to be abundant!
