Susan hasn't quite got the photos off her camera yet of our recent trip to Grazalema but Maria's husband sent me these pics so thought I'd share them with you:

Agreed! The Grazalema mountain area is a gem. So too is the Serrania de Ronda, with its lovely villages. It's amazing though how many of our fellow expats living on the coast don't take the opportunity to explore the superb Andalucian countryside.
I think my creating more awareness of these areas, we can actually contribute to their protection, as the local villagers start to see that there is a value in maintaining the charm of the places, rather than building huge poligonos and apartment blocks in their quest for modernisation!
