Electricity Bills

Hello All,

This is my first blog on eye on Spain and because I am at my wits end.  I have a house in Almeria, its a holiday home and while empty my electricity bills were 20-30 euros every month.  In December I had the shock of my life, the electricity bill came in at 105 euros for the month.  I have been told by my friends who live in Almeria permanently that the electricity prices have gone through the roof and they are now paying, especially as it has been so cold and wet up to 250 euros a month.  I cannot afford to have electricity bills of over 100 euros each month for an empty house so need some help please from you good people on what to do, can you change supplier as you can in the UK? Does anyone know who the cheapest supplier is and how to change.  What on earth has happened to the country, how are householders and business's surviving with electricity bills of such extoronate rates.
