February is Carnival month in Águilas

I've not posted on here for a while although my main blog http://relocatetospain.blogspot.com has all the updates from Christmas, New Year and the rest but for anyone in the Águilas area, I thought you may be interested in the details for the Regatta and Carnival's coming up.
This weekend sees the regatta on Sunday and then next Thursday (19th) sees the start of Carnival week with processions each night for a week culminating in the Seizure of Don Carnal in the Plaza de España from where he is led to the Poniente Beach where he is executed by fire, followed by a magnificent fireworks display marking the end of the Carnival.
