Manilva Mums

Well I was supposed to be meeting a few girl friends and having an afternoon on the beach today! We like to meet up and have a couple of drinks and a chat. It looks like I will be staying in doing my ironing, lovely.

Over here when its raining I have no idea what to do or where to go!  My two girls have gone to Kidzkingdom with their older sister and her baby girl, my husband is painting the hall and I will be doing boring housework in a minute. It feels so depressing over here in the rain. In the sun everyone sits outside bars and cafes and enjoys watching the world go by. Come back sun.

I am off down to the Coffee Morning in a little while. We meet on Wednesdays and Fridays and they are a great way to make friends and also to find out lots of information. Between all of us ladies we have children in all the schools and nurseries in the area. I am a mother of four girls and have lived in Spain for nearly 10 years. I have two older daughters who both have children of their own now and two younger daughters aged 10 and 6 years who go to the local spanish school.

I started Manilva Mums when my youngest daughter was a toddler and found it a great way to meet other mums and also meet other children for my girls to play with.

So many ladies have thanked me for helping them to settle over here, saying they would have gone back to the UK as they were so lonely and missing their family and friends.

I find it very rewarding to see people make new friends.
