Vejer de la Frontera, Costa de la Luz

Well worth a trip if you are in the area.  Lots of artisan/jjewellery stalls as well as the usual flea market stuff.

The new theatre in Vejer is open at last and last Saturday evening there was an African dance troup performing who were really good and the entrance was only €4 - what a bargain! Hope all subsequent events are so cheap.

weather in Vejer is still beautiful but the town is really quiet.  Great time to visit and enjoy the town and local beaches.  Lots of bars and restaurants are still open.

Vejer is one of those places that is great to visit whatever time of the year but if you want the place to yourself then now is the time to go!

Vejer fiesta has started - runs until 24th August.  Entertainment on each night in Plaza de Espana for free and also a big flamenco night on 22 August - tickets available locally.

This is a great festival with the whole town buzzing!

Rally cars race up the hill of the CA5203 from the Barbate road on a timed trial.

Runs from 5-8.00pm on Saturday and from 10.30am on the Sunday.

You can get really up close to the action!

Fantastic event if you are in the area or can get there!

Vejer's annual fiesta starts tomorrow - partying 24/7 on the feria site at La Noria until Sunday!

Preparations have been going on for weeks - well worth a visit if you are in the area.
