Hi Folks,
Just uploaded a few photos of the new showhouse on phase X - also a view from the roof terrace. We are told that the shops in front of the site will only be one level with no apartments on top so this view should be maintained.
3 people have completed already with more following very soon.
Not much use putting more photos of the site as most of the work is now inside so little change externally apart from a few more houses being painted.
Regards to all
Stu

Thanks for the photo's, we wondered where you were has we regularly were viewing your web site for updated photo's.
The kitchen, appears to be from the 3 bed rather than 2 bed - can you confirm.
Also interest the way they have positioned the beds single beds, was there any room to walk round?
You say a few have completed, are people now living in the houses?

I've just had a quick drive around the outskirts of the development to see if I can see any way on for people who have completed to be able to get to their homes - and I can't. I'm going to walk down with the dogs later for a closer look. The fencing is still up all along Phase 1 and all around the development as far as I can tell.
When I was in the office last Friday a couple were completing and I thought then that the site wasn't ready for them to move in as the builders are still finishing off on Phase 1 (and are still on site this morning.
I would have thought that if people were completing - the builders should be away and working on Phase 4 etc.
I'll let you know.
Today is cloudy and quite cool, I understand the UK is sunny and warm today from the forecast I saw on GMTV this morning - I still know where I'd rather be!

Just uploaded 3 new photos I've taken today.
The first one is up the right hand edge of the development showing the planted area. This has now been landscaped all the way up.
The 2nd one shows a view between Phase 1 & 2
The 3rd one shows the large area between the 2 sides of the development - still a long way from looking like anything but a building site.
Talking to Patricia in the show house today, there is one house on phase 1 that someone has moved into. They access it up the road you can see in the first photo but we have driven up there and it is still very much a building environment and the fences are still all around the top end of the development. She did suggest they would be starting some planting soon on the area between the 2 sides.
We also noticed that at the end of each block is a tower with TV aerials on - these are communal Spanish TV aerials according to Patricia, satellite TV will be down to each individual property.

Hi, we have purchased on CDP....not sure of the plot but expected to be ready early '09. Have enjoyed reading messages on the forum and keen to hear more. We are out in August staying in Mojacar and plan to visit the site and spend some time on the beach etc.

Hi Brian
The beach will be busy in August, all the Spanish come here for their holidays and according to people living here, it's mayhem. We are alreay noticing how each weekend there are more and more people on the beach - last Sunday was really busy.
Mojacar has a much longer beach so there may be a square foot available for you to claim.
All this said, at the moment during the week it is still fairly quiet.

Damn and i thought i'd be the only one on the beach at San Juan!! Are you living out there? Had a couple of interesting trips out in Sept last year and again this March, weather was fab and not busy at all.

Hi
Yes, we are lucky to be living here now - moved here 4 weeks ago and are renting a villa until our house on CDP is ready later this year, as we were eager to start our new life. Keep an eye on my blog to see how life is here. We were very lucky to sell our house at home and we love being here, I love being able to walk down to the development with the dogs and keep an eye on progress, when I was in Sheffield I always wondered what, if anything was happeneing, now I know and I am trying to share with others on here as I know how frustrating being so far away can be. They have now painted the next row of houses behind Phase 4, so we are staring to see all the colours change the appearance of the development.
We are already making lots of friends and feel really pleased with our choice of San Juan. Looking forward to our first festival - 23rd June - beach bonfires at midnight. Just been with a group of ladies organising a picnic for the beach on that night.
The beaches were still very empty at weekends up to 2 weekends ago - as soon as June started we saw a big increase in weekend usage - however, they are still very quiet during the week. More bars are starting to open up for the summer, according to the locals - activity continues to build up to August - month of August is manic and as soon as September starts it goes back to being quiet.
