HI, I am in the UK at the moment but having read the CB news on line and Round town news on line, all customers with Telmicro had no TV, their offices have been closed down by the police, take a look at the thread also in the torrevieja web sites, they have more news, this may also apply to Torrestat customers. I have tried calling Nortons today at Le Zenia - no reply.

We had problems in July - just took the card to the Torestst office next to the Town Hall and they fixed it for us in 30secs - after we had waited 20 mins of course.

Sorry too late for you but I think I paid about 400 euros for the lot which included the 180 annual fee.
Let us know how the AGM went?

We went to Torresat in April last year and haven't had any real problems. They cut a few of the sports channels with all the recent problems but we still have movies and the igeneral package. It cost us 99euros for installation and 185euros for the year although they haven't charged us for the following year yet, despite it being half over. The office was very friendly and when one of our tennants managed to blow up the digibox by pouring beer into it, they replaced it free of charge, the following day.

I had Telemicro instal our TV at apartment and at our Villa in Orihuela 2 summers ago - of course now we have no TV working which is problem with rentals. I please need to know who is operating legally down there now and whether what is already installed can be linked into to avoid extra expense. Grateful for any genuine answers.

Torrestat have an offer on at the moment pay up front six months 120 euros? give them your IE number and bank account number for direct debit after the 6 months. Unfortunatley have tried to get through but seem to be always engaged or put you on hold for a long time , expensive when calling from UK. offer finishes 28th Feb.

Hi all
There is a company that is offering to take over the Telemicro dish and then you pay 20 euros a month, nothing up front you can use your old Telemicro box, so no installation costs. The company I believe is Simulsat and as Telemicro are no longer operating it seems logical that they replace Telemicro on site.
However all the companies are doing including Torresat are rebroadcasting which is either illegal or they are charging you for "free to air" channels, that is why you will no doubt see an increase in satellite dishes around the complex as more and more people try to pick up TV direct from the satellites which is fully legal and offers a massive amount of channels and with costs of around 400 euros for Freesat with no other costs ever and no risk of ever being cut off ,for some it will be the right choice.
Oh and for those that might be interested several individuals have contacted the president about this (Freesat for the whole complex would cost a fraction of what people are currently paying and have paid for installation of Torresat, with far more channels and no chance of ever beeing cut off) but he hasn't even responded to them, you might want to ask him why !

A tennant has rung to day to say that the TV reception is not working. We are with Toresat and up to now haven't had any problems. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was out in Spain last week and also thought I had a problem with the tv as only had 4 channels when I first turned on tv however, after visiting Torresat office it appears that if you have not used the tv for a while you have to reset your card. This entails putting the tv on a channel i.e eurosports (one that you do not have) and waiting about 5 mins. The chip in the card resets itself and after this I had about 40 channels. Try this this may work for you. Regards
