Hi all, please see the above link to a press report on SPI. This is good news that the problems have now got media  coverage. Financial Institutions have to pay out on guarantees where the developer is in breach of contract.

Aifos never provided a bank guarantee on Angel de Miraflores. OVP were never clear about this, and both the UK and Spanish lawyers they put us in touch with didn't come clean about this. We only found out by finding our own lawyer.

six years on, we are still trying to get our deposit back for sevearal other breaches of contract, but that one alone should be serious enough!
