"What have us lot done?" Honestly for next door neighbours, you're a bit rude! Lol!
Looking forward to meeting you. Insurance, phew, we haven't got that far yet, still haven't started on the mortgage yet. You haven't got big noisy dogs or peculiar habits, have you? Just to be pre-warned.

Good house insurance can be obtained from the spanish banks, I pay around 250e per annum for buildings and contents this consists of 110,000e rebuild cost (NOT property valuation there is a difference) and around 20,000e contents cost. Make sure you tell the insurer it is a holiday/2nd home if it is, as if you don't and you have to claim they will refuse to pay out (Just like the UK!). You can go into any bank and get a quote most will provide all the documents in English, you do not have to a customer.

250 per annum for Insurance sounds very reasonable. Has anyone considered getting a house alarm and if so what i is the approx cost and are the houses prewired for an alarm or for cctv. I have seen pictures of the pool on phase 1 but does anyone know are any of the other pools ready on phase 2 or 3 and if so what are they like? If October is the date for phases 1-5 is the date still on time. We are heading out there for early October so hopefully we will see a big improvement on the buildings and we acn actually view our house on phase 9 which is due to complete in january or february hopefully. Any news on the licences from Pulpi?
Finally what are the plans re Sky tv are many people interested and if so how do we go about getting it installed is it per block or for the whole complex. Hope you are all having a great time there as we watch the rain fall in dowdy Dublin.

Hi Paul
I've just uploaded a couple of photos of the pool on Phase 3 (as far as I am aware phase 2 shares the pool with phase 1). One shows the area inside the fencing, and the other shows the fencing and gate to show how secure they are. The gate has a lock and it is my understanding that only owners to phase 3 will have a key to the gate. This means the pools are very secure from the general public getting in to use them, as they have with the pool on phase 1 as the fences are low enough to climb over. This summer people staying in the development next to CDP and others have been using the pool on phase 1, needless to say, phase 1 owners are not at all pleased.

Thnk you Jacqui for the photos and i also thought they were sunbeds nof pump covers. Hope they intend provoiding sunbeds for the pool area or else we will have to arrange to pool some money and purchase some for each phase. The lock and key is a good idea and have they started yet on any of the other pools? Cant wait to get out there but it is only less than 4 weeks away now so looking forward to it.
Dont see the logic of the montesol not provoiding food as the CDP development will provoide great oppertunity for encouraging customers but I suppose e we will find out the real reason in the future.
Thanks for the photos
Paul
