Commuting from the UK.....anyone doing it?

Hi Scrufty,

Just got back last night from Playa Flamenca, wonderful weather and sad to be home.

However, we checked out the walk way. Sorry to say, Playa Flamenca beach part is not as finished as the walkway at La Zenia, but it is better than in was when we were last there in November.

If you scroll down, I gave a description of the walkways to another member who was talking about the Marina. you will see which parts are walkable.

The walkway that is usable is fabulous, albeit that the local Spanish yobs have already made their mark with graffitti on the beautiful white marble in places.

Click on your own link. It`s a little picture on the right. Click on the yellow 332 and you will come to El Rincon. It`s just up from the 332 road. There is no buildings on the map.

Has anyone dealt with Parador in buying at El Rincon? I cannot seem to get an answer from them on completion of phase 2 apartments.

 we used Parador for phase 1 el rincon and we paid for the aftersales,only contact we had was the monthly report sent via the owners club.When our property was ready it was the builder who contacted us with a choice of dates to go to the notary and about 6 days before we were due to fly out parador then contacted us to arrange a meeting.

2 weeks after completing and returning home we received an email from parador telling us they had inspected our property and it was now finished, wooops bit late, would not pay for after sales again, you will get more info from the members on this site than from parador.

Have you tried contacting the builder?

Thanks for your reply, I didnt go for the after sales service as I thought it seemed a little expensive, looks as though that was the right move. I have tried but have so far been unsuccessful in contacting the builders.

For the record I did tell Parador that I thought their service was very poor as surely a completion date on any project is not exlusive to those paying an extra 700 Euro.

I will take your advice and keep up to date with the message board on this site.

We have used Parador and so far found them ok.

We felt it was worth having someone out there 'just in case'.

They have told me that May is probable for phase 2, as you say the builder is the one to get in touch with us with some dates to choose from.

We are planning to go out Feb 24th for a week, so we will get all the updates we can.

We went on Google Earth  may be well off, but is there a big cloud over our development...I do hope this is not an omen, when we went at look at the development under construction late last year it was raining...

Don't despair all you El Rincon buyers!

Google Earth images are over 2 years old.

What you see on the satellite, is not "live", so forget that grey cloud, it only sunshines on the Costas!

Does anyone have any further news on why the delays with completion on phase 1 ?

And for those that have completed has anyone used IKEA for kitting out your apartment ?

My boyfriend still being told signing day is on 25th January.  He had a letter direct from the builders way back in December offering him 4 dates, and he picked the earliest 13th Jan, but apparently Parador Properties were unaware of this, they then told him after 13th Feb, now 25th Jan is now back on the agenda, so he is out in Spain as we speak patiently awaiting developments.  I can see we will all be needing a stiff drink soon!!!!!!  Will let you know if it does go ahead on 25th January.  Thanks.

We have difficulty with signing.  We were given a selection of dates and we selected 18th January with Gomendio. Our solicitors confirmed that there would be no signing on this date and arranged for signing on 25th January .  Gomendio cancelled this date through our solicitors and said that there would be no signing before 13th February. Our solicitor says there is a problem with habitation licence not being issued by town hall and cannot give us a date for signing.  Anyone with similar problems?

You guys seem to be the only ones that have completed on El Rincon, any advice as to how we can avoid the delays with signing and do you know why there seems to be difficulties with the licence.

Thanks to those that have been posting the photos of El Rincon, however does anyone have any recent photos of the building work (especially interested in phase 2 pool area) or the surrounding area, I've not seen any photos for a couple of weeks and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

We have just got back from visiting relatives and have just read all the concerns that people have

When we were over at our appartment in December we saw people in blocks 1 to 8 and blocks 16 and 17, The remaining 9 to 15 did not appear to be occupied,this may be because they back onto phase2 which is still being worked on and may explain why the licence is being witheld.We are going over in 3 weeks and will get as much info as possible and some photos of the phase2 for you guys still waiting.

My boyfriend has just been informed by Parador Properties that he will not be signing for El Rincon Phase 1 this week after all but that it will be AFTER 14th February, oh dear the saga goes on and on.!!!  And by the way we are in blocks 1 to 8.
