Excellent News!

We have just noticed that there are new photos on Allied Developments web site of the development at Iznajar.  There now appears to be a row of houses at the site.

Has anyone been there recently?

Hello Ray,

nice to hear from you.  We have been told that the building work is ahead of schedule and everything is going well.  We are looking forward to hearing your news and hopefully viewing more photos.

Apparantly Jo has left Allied and we have been in touch with Carol who has been very helpful.  A show house is planned for May/June, it will be interesting to see a completed home with fixtures and fittings in place.

Have a good holiday.  We had some nice meals in Cafe Verde in Iznajar, but it was up for sale when we were there last year....we would be interested in knowing if it is still open.

Things have really moved on quickly, house number 31 has the external walls more or less finished and painted white.  Looking through the windows it looks like most of the internal walls are also finished and they are getting ready to do the first fix electrics etc. We will post some photographs in a few days time so you can see progress.

We are told the show house will be ready by the end of April, but allow for some slipage if any one of you plan to visit I would suggest mid May.

We are told that there are 17 unsold and that none had been sold since the price went up. We made 2 site visits, the last one was on Sunday and as the builders were not working, we together with many locals were able to get on site and into the buildings.

Although things are progressing quickly we are told that the development will probably not be ready for occupation until March 2008.

We had Sunday Lunch at Cafe Verde which was very good, however the business is still up for sale.

Hello Ray & Linda,

it's good to know that everything is progressing well, it's giving the locals plenty to watch on a Sunday afternoon.  Has the lake started filling up again after the winter snow? 

We have received an email today about apartments being built by Allied further down the road towards the village.  So that is yet another development, apart from our 40 and the next phase of 40 houses.  BIG changes for Iznajar! 

At least it's out of the village and all this will hopefully bring money into the community and not spoil this beautiful area.

We look forward to seeing the photographs.
