I am not meaning to put a damper on what should be an exciting time but ultimately like everyone else here I have forked out a lot of money and I expect to get what I have paid for. For me it is no good sat having a beer overlooking a mountain and orange groves when I was expecting to be over looking a Jack Nicklaus golf course. I really hope I am proved wrong but I think I have a right to be nervous.
I went to visit Hacienda and I was disgusted in the place to be honest. These is nothing at all for people to do on the resort and it just didn't appear to be of the same standard as La Torre, etc.
I believe that as a group of genuine people who bought on Condado for the facilities that we need to stick together to ensure that Polaris deliver what they originally promised to deliver. No-one clearly wants any bad publicity because it will not do Polaris any good as well as ourselves as owners but we need to be keeping the pressure on to ensure Polaris get this one landed.
I appreciate it is still quite early days on Condado but to be honest the Mazzanno snack bar is an absolute embarrassment to take people to. I hope that Polaris pull out all the stops to ensure the Foro provides a good and varied and more important reasonably priced experience. If the facilities are good and reasonably priced on site then people will use them I am sure. If not then this in turn will reduce what shpuld be a great atmosphere on the resort and people will start to go to Mazzaron.
I realise there is more chance of me playing a round of golf with the great Jack Nicklaus on the opening day of the 1st course at Condado than getting Polaris to commit when work will commence on the other 2 golf courses as well as the main club house and Foro / Oasis facilities. If Polaris don't get this landed asap then in my opinion it is not encouraging anyone to buy.
In these worrying times people want to escape and to get away from all the bad news to a greater place. The longer Polaris leave it to get things kicked off to make Condado into the most enviable place in Europe the worst things will be. I appreciate these things will cost millions to do but just think what money Polaris have already received / and will be receiving over the coming months once La Isla completes. I have been told that 390 out of the 396 apartments have been sold. As a ball park figure Polaris will have an approximate amount of 33million Euros coming there way by around July / August 09. Surely it is in there interests to start to reinvest some of this money in getting the remaining 2 courses complete, etc.
As I say I hope I am proved wrong but for now I will still remain cautious as the communications from Polaris are non-existant and I think I have a right in light of this to be wary.
Regards,
Mark
