Hi folks sorry it has taken a while to update. We went to Polaris World two weeks ago and filled out a hoja de reclaimation (official complaints form)

The trip was very interesting as customer service state they have not completed many official complaints. Anyway we filled it in took it to the OMIC who is basically the trding standards. He called the legal department who assured him that they would call in two days and get our money in a week. Well guess what we got the call but no refund. Just the usual nonsense about how we will get it but they cannot say when.

Customer service inform they cannot contact the legal or finance department and although they were very pleasant they were basically useless.

We have now directed our legal representative (maria) to take them to court.

A few notes of interest for folks

Polaris world execute your bank garuntee when you cancel your contract (we were told this by Customer service)

Polaris world read this forum daily (customer service told us to see how their week would be)

Dont waste your time chsing them for your money they are not paying unless you have legal representation and will just keep mucking you about.

Another point of note is the ground plan they have in their Office showing TDLT. They seem to have property shedules  only going up to nos 1-60.

Our property was 6503 and we were informed that this was cancelled.

The OMIC gave us the telephone number and name of PW legal representation, however I dont want to breach rules so if you want it PM me.

To be fair to PW the entrance and building that has been done on TDLT look lovely and there was obviously work going on when we visited.

Thank you for the update Linda and all thebest in you quest for a refund. The points you made were also interesting.

In respect of the point that PW Customer Service read the forum everyday it is a shame that they just don't seem to understand the main sentiments on this and other similar forums.

That is: MOST CONTRIBUTORS ARE ACTUALLY "PRO PW" BEING SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE THAT WILL MEAN WE END UP WITH A RESORT OF QUALITY. WHAT WE ALL RESENT IS THAT PW REFUSE TO KEEP US,THEIR CUSTOMERS, INFORMED. NOBODY IS EXPECTING TO BE TOLD INTIMATE DETAILS OF PW FINANCES BUT WE DO WANT TO KNOW WHAT PLANS ARE AND APPROXIMATE TIMESCALES FOR OUR PROPERTIES BEING BUILT. WE ALL KNOW THE CURRENT FINANCIAL PROBLEMS WORLDWIDE AND UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE IS DIFFERENT TO WHEN MOST OF US SIGNED UP, BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT A LITTLE INFORMATION KEEPS US HAPPY.

Thank you Dave and I could not agree more. When we looked at PW developments we were impressed (even after all this hassle) but when investors are not given basic information, ignored or actually lied to they lose faith in the company/organisation and start to believe, rightly or wrongly they have something to hide. I have now given up trying to reason with PW and am very angry that I have had to instruct legal intervention to retrieve what is mine.

On a lighter note one of my most amusing conversations with PW included one telephone conversation where the female kept repeating  "you must understand we are not denyinging you access to your money" she must have said this three times so the next time she said it I responded by saying "I am glad to hear that so can I have it now please?" to which the reply was "well no you cant"  

If this wasn't huge sums of money and people'e life savings it would be hilarious.

Hello just to let everyone know we got our monies refunded from Polaris World today. So to all who are still waiting dont loose heart and to everyone else we wish you every happiness in your new homes. As said before they do look absolutely great.

I will still check in on my mail box so if any messages are left I will pick them up.

Glad to hear your good news, congratulations.

Unlike many who would love to look at a refund as an option you obviously had a cast-iron reason to get one in that your block was cancelled. I am sure quite a few readers will be very envious!

I am just going to hang in and see what develops, I don't have any other options. Although I am usually a pessimist it has been encouraging to hear so many complimentary remarks about the development so far. I believe that a temporary clubhouse will be in place within the next few weeks and that 9 holes will be open by the summer. Things might just be improving.

With a fair wind I hope PW can pull of the miracle of giving us the resort we are paying for and want.

Hi dave and thank you for your kind words. Dont be so sure that you are not entitled to a refund as PW breached their agreement on many areas and indeed I was informed that the contract was "abusive" given there were no timescales and a few other things.

Whatever you decide to do I wish you well.

Do you know what the exact areas are PW have breeched the contract?  I have contacted a legel rep regarding making a claim from PW for my deposit and was advised that there is a case but it is a expensive process.  Knowlege of the situation before agreeing to further payments would be reassurring.
