Apologies and your comments noted, I'll make sure no Commercial posts appear on this Forum again. However, I really could do with picking your brains regarding setting these Forum's up !!!!!.

You'll obviously be aware that a number of future Residents intend setting up small businesses out in SAdM, if only to keep themselves busy and therefore I think we have identified a need for a similar Forum that is dedicated to Business Users and Commercial postings, obviously accessible to everyone. We certainly have a need for 'additional services' out in SAdM, and if there was a central deposit whereby we can gather this information, not necessarily Property Management, it would definately benefit us all. i.e. we are aware of a number of people setting up Podiatry businesses,  1-2-1 Spanish tuition etc. Let alone the info that can be shared regarding business set-up, Spanish small business set-up, Taxation, let alone the information released regularly by the British Consulate regarding EU trading.

We know of three businesses intending setting up PM, if a future resident needs these services (or any service)...where do they go to register interest???? Not only now, but we for one, hope these Forum's continue well after the building has been completed, and there again is a need to contact 'reliable' businesses for on-going services....after San Jose Group have moved on.

Therefore, your assistance in setting up these Forum's in in-valuable and I would like to explore further with you how we can 'reach-out' to a whole knew section of people and services offerings. Or how to go about setting up a similar Forum if this doesn't fit withing your own scope.

Not being antagonistic but isn't this another reason for setting up a Commercial Forum...!!!! buying and selling properties is Commercial Advertising, something Steve and I have privately agreed to support each other with !

I take your point about a commercial forum.  We have been considering something similar for a while (we were thinking about more of a directory) as we have a lot of problems with some developments which are inundated with commercial posts.

We are always happy to work with our members and listen to suggestions for improvements.  If you want to perhaps discuss your ideas why now drop me an email at jaldridge@eyeonspain.com and let's see what we can do.  We have over 200 people currently registered for this message board (I think most only read the messages) so if it's a benefit to them we'll definitely consider new possibilities.

Regarding Steve's property for sale, as he has paid to list it on Eye on Spain he is allowed to promote it on the message boards.  Normally we get a lot of agents listing their properties for sale on the forums but that's not allowed so we have to delete them.

I agree that there needs to be a facility for potential business's to discuss the ins and outs of setting up in Santa Ana and generally in Spain and to share ideas as I too have a business and web site all ready to go for Santa Ana but like Justin said it will open the floodgates for companies simply advertising their product rather than discussing issues.

I think the important thing we get across to future residents is that there will be people out there willing to carry out necessary tasks and offering their services and skills .  I am certain that due to the size of this building project we will all be calling on each other at some point. 

This is an exciting time for all of us and also one of anticipation as we are all waiting for licenses to be granted and building to comence in order to step up a gear.

So lets keep the discussion going and find a solution that we can all use to our advantage, but doesn't get out of hand.  Perhaps a simple page where we can enter our web site address and people can browse at their leisure without turning a forum into a marketing tool.

Just my penny's worth.

 

My Own opinion is this would be agreat idea, as i have purchased on this site as an investment / holiday home and it would be great to have someone who would be able to carry out any work required while i am not there, or even just to keep an eye on the place.
