Does anyone at Marina D'Or have an administrator for their community? I am in Vistamsr 3 and assumed the community is the building. I asked about pool cleaning and was told to ask the administrator. I don't know how to contact everyone in the community as most apartment are used for holiday lets. Does Marina D'Or have any responsability for keeping the pools clean?

Have bee told that:-

The person to contact is the administration of Vistamar III, who is " Servicom" , Tel.: 0034 964 31 21 92 .

it looks like this is Marina D'Ors maintenance agreement and maybe the same for all apartments. Do we need to get together to organse pool cleaning or complain when the pool is filthy does anyone know?

We completed on an apartment in Vistamar III last May and have heard nothing from Servicom.  Routine maintenance & cleaning appears to be carried out.  The swimming pool was black when we visited at New Year, but in February it had been drained, with maintenance being 'ongoing' but no action during the week we were there.  At the same time, the pool next door in Vistamar II was like an oil slick!!

So far, our main experience has been with the MD office at Acapulco IV, but we have managed to obtain an additional garage blipper from Servicom.  I have only just emailed Servicom enquiring about the installation of an English satellite TV dish - it will be interesting to see if I get a response.

We would be interested in getting involved with an English owners group, at least that would give us a bit of momentum to get things done & perhaps find out a bit more what is going on etc.  It would be nice to see some improved marketing over here - the Oxford Street office is straight out of MD, and looks a little bit out of place in the West End!  I know that they are paying a £400k rent pa, so to justify its existence, I would like to think they are making plenty of sales?  We have spotted a few Brits, but they are few and far between.

Following up the comments regarding letting potential, we have considered it, but have decided not to even bother whilst the development is going on next door.  ServiHogar offer a meet/greet/cleaning service for owners letting themselves.  As far as selling, we are in for at least the medium term, and whilst the development is ongoing, the developer is always going to be competitive on prices.  We are certainly looking forward to the Golf element coming out of the ground - anybody got any firm dates?

Apoligies for meandering off the original thread, but there are plenty of issues - some positive to cover.

I have been happy so far, Alexander Homes have been my rental agents and have done a good job, their Key holding service is second to none.

The pool areas are closed until june this is why they were not cleaned. During the holiday season the resort is booming.

I have just returned from Spain. I had hoped to stay in marina dor, but when I arrived my apartment hadnt been completly furnished by alexander homes despite having paid them to do so last september. There were no blankets or duvets and it was cold there so it was impossible to stay. My remote for the air con was missing. They gave me a new one. They explained that the pools are not cleaned until the start of June as it is too cold to use them. They are only used from June to September. There is a maintanance person for each building. They had very high winds over there in the past few weeks which did alot of damage to the shutters of the apartments. What I did find out is that we purchased our apartment from Marina Dor which cost us 242,000 plus IVA and I could purchase the very same new aprtment in the block next door for around 190,000 if I bought from alexander homes. We will have to wait a very long time just to make our money back. Maybe when the golf course etc goes in and Marina Dor have stopped selling we MIGHT get our money back. We are paying a mortgage for this so I hope we can wait it out!

I would love to know how much other payed for their apartments.
