My Lawyer has been in touch with Benalmadena building Department at the Town Hall and they have informed him over the phone that build licence was granted for La Perla a couple of months ago to the builders Grupo Mirador , they gave him the licence reference number which is 001005/2005 , he has been trying to get in touch with the builder to see why build has not yet started or for any completion dates but as yet has got no reply from them,

Good information. I am waiting to hear from Town Hall in Benalmadena end of January. I was told licence was on hold and a meeting with the council will give more information. The Builders name that I have been given (Diego Doblas) is the one with information about La Perla build. Lets hope your info from lawyers  is the beginning of  further development.

 HI ROBERT THAT IS GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE BUILDING LICENCE NUMBER.   BUT IF ALL IS OK WITH THIS DEV WHY IS IT THAT PALMERA ARE STILLSAYING THAT THEY ARE NOT TAKING RESALES ON THIS DEV.   LAST WEEK I SENT AN EMAIL TO THEM TO ASK WHEN THESE PROPERTIES COULD BE RESOLD, AN YET AGAIN, DELAYING . MORE DOUBLE TALK,  THEY SAY THAT PROBABLE DATE IS FEB,   BUT LETS WAIT TO SEE IF THIS IS THE CASE.  ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO TO PASS ON

that is the thousand dollar question im afraid, i  spoke with jason at palmera last week as i do regular and the same answers every time, he told me by summer dev should have started and can put on resale etc, the truth is nobody has a clue whats going to happen but mirador and they wont deal or give any info to anybody, i think they could be in a spot of financial trouble as they never seem to finnish a dev to get final payments and you cannot keep running a business for long this way before it bites back

The Town Hall in Benalmadena phoned me today and said that the meeting they had with the council confirmed that building licence has indeed been granted. Unfortunately she couldnt  tell me when the construction work will start moving. Spoke to Palmera and they also spoke to Town Hall today and were told the same. They tell me that  they will be presuring Mirador for info on build work. They have their lawyers onto it. Cannot put up for resale until they have seen licence and new contracts.

just look at mirador,villa site fuenta de piedra ,and you will realise that palmeras and the builder mirador are both a bunch of lieing theiving b------,if you can get your money back or pull out now before its too late

Alfhooker, tell us something we didnt know already , it aint that easy believe me ive looked in to it as i bought a resale 2/half years ago , you dont have to tell anybody who bought here what this agent/developer are , we already know, we live in hope.

We have freinds who live in Benalmadena Pueblo which is just above La Perla site. They have informed me that building work is going on there at the moment. Locals have said that buiding work is going ahead despite some protests from the locals. They are working around the Roman ruins area, and Mirador have told the locals that they will plant more trees to give them privacy. This is the latest news that we have. The next big step is receiving new contracts and waiting for the go ahead to resell. Mirador and Palmera do not have a good relationship because of all the problems between them, we can only hope its soon.  (Wev been waiting 4 years) Does any one have any further news.????

  the latest news that i have is that palmera still wont take resales.   i emaild them a few days ago to ask when we could put ours up for resale, but more waffle, this time its because palmera are waiting for the new contracts, and as soon as they have them, then they will take resales.  but my advise is dont hold your breath

Have just come back from spain, visited site, no work going on whilst  visited on two separate occassions but they have landscaped into what looks like terraces. No structural work started. Anyone any more news? Joanne

was on La Perla site yesterday in c.d.sol , spoke to a spanish lady who is doing something with Roman ruins, she told me bulders should be back on site next month when she will be finnished on ruins to start build work, it looks like most of the groundworks to take the apt hotel are now done , you can now see the shape of what apthotel will look like and it does look like the shape of plans given when first bought, there is a retaining wall from the front road facing the sea then it sweeps down the side into the valley past the ruins , at the top of retaining walls it is now all levelled off flat to take the sructure, there was some workmen doing some work behind on a concrette hole sructure which i assumed was for the sewages of the development,

hello robert that is good news that at last there is some progress with the site,  do you or anyone else know when palmera are going to take resales on this site.

I spoke to Jason Lingfield of pp when i was over there, unfortunatly got the same news ie hpofully by June when Mirador send out the new contracts was the answer i got, when this will happen is really anybodies gues im afraid ,

thanks for that info robert,  i cant understand what is going on, when i asked several months ago about resales i was told it would be dec, then feb, and now its june, i think we are all being conned,

 

I have instructed my lawyer to investigate the whole sorry story with this development.  I will post her news as soon as she comes back to me.  If anyone has any sort of news at all, would appreciate hearing it.  Anything to find out why /who/where all the problems associated with this disasterous development have been allowed to go on for so long.
