Looking at the two site progress photos from December  ...  very disappointed!

It's anyones guess as to when any phases on the site will be released. It is still a huge building site ... and not a sign of any central facilities at the Hacienda. It looks as though they are sticking to their 'plan' of building virtually the whole resort before any releasing takes place. The course has not moved on as quickly as expected and although will be super when finished it is a very long way off even 9 holes.

There does still seem to be a lot of work going on the 'services' centre area across the road behind phase 4. A huge water storage reservoir too by the looks of it.

And the sage of the 3 'missing' blocks in phase 2 seems unresolved..the underground carparks look to be dug but then no construction.. If they start building them now...which the dont seem to be hurrying to do...there will be another building site in phase 2 for another year or so...what a mess!

The reality , comparing with a similar  building stages at La Torre,  now looks as though it will be a good 6 - 9 months off for any sensible releasing start...despite what PW may quote.

MISSING APARTMENTS ON HACIENDA  !!!!!!!!!

Further to info gathered here my Solicitor has informed me that Cilantro 7 block has not been built due to technical problems, P W are preparing a report and will then be contacting clients!!!! Neither my Solicitor or Agent in the U K knew anything about this!!!  Any one else here buying a missing appartment,? look closely at the aerial shots against the plans.  With 4/5months until completion P W still took  a payment from us in December !!

I have a penthouse in Cilantro 7 and recieved offer from Polaris to complete NI nos etc and assumed completion was around June but no mention of the block not being completed. I will contact my agent ASAP and seek confirmation of this. Thanks.

Spoke to Polaris this afternoon. They confirmed that no development will take place on the three blocks on phase 2 until subterainian power cables are moved. PW said they were in negotiations with the relevant authorites but no work will start meantime. I pressed as to when we would get a completion date but no result. The spokes person did offer to transfer our option to another site. Not interested but am looking at termination of contract due unacceptable time frame.

Re Missing Blocks...

I honestly can't see PW starting to build 3 new apartment blocks at a time when they are trying to progress towards releasing the resort sometime this year. The construction upheaval with heavy traffic, construction access, machinery, materials etc etc would be so disruptive to their plans. To build 3 blocks you would have to ring-fence the whole of the immediate area for H&S and so would not be able to release for habitation any adjoining phase 2 blocks to those missing ones either. It may be just one problem, and potentially a costly one, too far to make it worthwhile in the overall scheme of things.

I suspect the PW strategy will be to approach those involved to 'offer' other HR apartments yet unsold, then 'offer' transfers to properties on other resorts (i.e. Terrezas or Alhama),and finally accept cancellations (but only as a last option). I know people who have already been contacted for transfers.

Remember also that the three missing blocks were set around the largest of the planned swimming pools on phase 2.

Don't expect anything much from PW. We visited last week to try and resolve. We've swapped to an apartment on La Torre but had to pay extra for a smaller apartment. They claim the prices are based on similar valuations to when we bought in 2004, but no recompense for any delays etc. Our benefit is an apartment that will be ready in a couple of weeks rather than 12 months

Mike
