After what has happened to polaris can we now decide if we have internet provided by outside suppliers?
Also what is state of play with Sky which they promised 18 months ago - socket in wall, 30E to connect. Gone very quiet also no sky or football in Clover.
Is it up to community if we have dish on roof?
Barry

Polaris Telecomm are still in business.
Dont know what happened to Sky
No you cant put up a Satellite it is against the community rules, unless the stautes are changed, which would require a unaminous decision, as only about 10% are likely to attend AGM that will be impossible.

Hi Phil and Barry,
I'm down in Condado for two months over the summer and won't survive without internet. I was going to arrange a dongle and pay by the hour but would prefer to have internet in the apartment, is Polaris doing this for anyone yet?
Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Jaci

Unless you are going to use the internet a lot and every month I would leave a contract arrangement alone as they are very expensive in Spain and especially so with Polaris. I am using a dongle from Citrus Red that was supplied by Gary Rooke who is an agent for them. I think his email is something like G.ROOKE@gmail.com but not entirely sure as I have lost his details. If not try WWW.citrusred.com. They are based in Punta Prima which is quite driveable if you need to go.
The dongle is very quick and easy to use anywhere and works well here at CDA. It cost me 49 Euros to buy and if you set up a direct debit from a registered credit card it only costs 3cents per megabyte which is very cheap out here. There are other threads on this subject if you go back a bit.
I would recommend them.
