 Hi Marie.Sharron and all bdm owners,2 weeks to go the count down is on,My apartment is No 35 second floor at the far end,now that most of that end is up l will have to decide which is the best way back from the bars,down the Mar y Sol side,or down the park side or down the middle past the dodgy pools, will up date the photos and any new,news that l find out.Regards Pat.

Well I nominate Marie and Geraldine to have their camera's at the ready for the night watch, as their apartment's have birds eye views of the pool !!!!  Could prove to be very entertaining !!! 

Marie its nice that your all in the same block, when I went out I got a copy of each floor plan, so it makes more sense where we all are.

I think together we will make a comical bunch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing Sharon is that you take better pictures than us !

 We must take a leaf out of the Mar y sol's book. I just read that they had a barbeque and 30 residents turned up !!

You get the feeling that a nice gang of people have purchased in Formentera in general.

There's absolutely no reason why we can't ALL get together - Mar Y Sol and Brisas del Mar and be one large community - the more the merrier! The roof is large enough to accommodate a couple of hundred I reckon!

Hi all Yes lrene l was just about to say the same as one side of Brisas del Mar is on the same road as Mar y Sol,the apartments are built by the same builder and and the same style we are all the one community,l hope the bars and supermarket have plenty of drink supplies to keep us all going.Regards Pat.

Hi Guys at BDM and Mar Y sol, sounds great to me - as long as Pat is no where near the Pool which I believe is also on the roof!!!!  We could probably have a street party between the two blocks !!!

 Great to see you in BDM  !! What is your opinion of Formentera now that you are a true resident? I s it fifferent to what you expected ?

Have you been to any interesting places nearby ?

Regretfully, not a true resident as we haven't yet made the permanent move. We do intend to move out there permanently but probably not for a couple of years yet.

Formentera and the surrounding areas are great. I hope that the influx of us Brits (MyS and BDM buyers) doesn't spoil the sleepy Spanish village. We've been to a few of the surrounding villages and markets, couldn't remember where we parked the car in Almoradi and stumbled on a few places by accident when I've been navigating! Guardamar is lovely and will take a long while to explore in its entirety. Torrevieja is very different but is equally lovely. The Mar Menor is an idyllic place - we went there for lunch and got a free show from the Spanish equivalent of the Red Arrows.

I don't know what the winter months will be like though, but they can't be worse than the UK!

We're back there late September and then again for Christmas - I wonder if we can have yet another barbecue? Will the turkey fit?

Barbecued turkey sounds good to me !!! its a pity that Ryanair are no longer flying from Shannon to Murica over the xmas period !!

 I aggree that the area around Formentera is ideal. There is such a great mix of different cultures. Benimar is like little U.K and Benajofar so spanish. Then of course we have the irish pub in Formentera.

We paid a flying visit in May and also thought that Guardamar was special. That pine forest leading onto the beach is something else. Plus the roads are so good that it is easy to get from A to B.

Hi Guys

Just a quick hello !  Our development has gone so quite that I just wanted to start up some movement again.
Have any new people bought at brisas del Mar ? We would to hear from you. Has anybody been over lately ?
Hows life in general with all my potential bar buddies ?????      We go next Thursday so I will take numerous photos to cheer you all up. Geraldine and I start our spanish lessons on Monday so that should be fun !!!!!!!

Hi Marie, & Guys,

Sue was told the builders worked through August, so thats good news.  Can't wait for more photo's so looking forward to see what has been done especially if the builders stayed on site.

Started my Spanish course Tuesday, lovely teacher and a nice group of peolple only 6 of us showed - all women, but there is about another 3 men who have paid for the course.  We had a good laugh so it looks like the learning will be fun, I need to sort out my pronunciation though !!!  Lots of practiced required, plus I need a large injection of confidence !!!!

Can't wait until we go out the end of October.  Have a great trip !!

We're in Mar Y Sol and we'll be out there next week. We plan to have a bit of fun playing petanca - probably on Saturday early evening - in the park. Everyone is welcome. We do these daft things to try and get everyone together so we can get to know each othre.

If you're around and about and see some lunatics in the park, please do come and join in.

There'll be notices on the doors of Mar Y Sol inviting all and sundry!

Hi all Brisites and our friends from mar y sol, as l am out 1st 2 weeks of oct l will miss you all, l seemed to have found the gap in between.lrene and Alan how long are you out there for? My next visit after oct is planned for March16th to the 27th any one out then or have l gone to far ahead.Good luck with Spanish lessons Marie and Sharron.( l only need to know san miguel and tinto without having to count how many l have had in spanish, l lose count after 10 in english) Pat.

Sharon,  you will have to give us a spanish sentence next time - it will be like homework for us !!

Irene and Alan - It would be lovely to  meet you - what is petanca ??? We have to leave at about 6.00pm on Sat for the airport so we might miss out on the game. But if you see three irish lassies wondering around the site you'll know that its us !!!
We could also bump into each other in the liffey bar ! We are staying at that little hotel at the rojales roundabout - could you recommend a restaurant within walking distance from there?
