Buying costs etc

Hi

I have been considering buying here for a while and was wondering if anyone could tell me the rough costs throughout the year.

i.e. community fees, etc.  Electricity, Water and general things like that.

I am not planning on living there full time so that will make a difference.

I absolutely love the area and have been holidaying there for the last ten years and have decided that this would be a good move.

I would be interested in anyones comments - Good and bad!!

My family have recently inherited a property here and costs we have been dvised costs are in the region of £2000 per annum all in but have yet to prove or disprove this! I am visiting in a week so hopefully I will find out more...

Also we are in all probability going to sell the property soon so shout if you are interested as no-one in the family is interested in keeping the property it will be a very good price!

Hi Freya, are you talking about an apartment or house and which area, Entre Naranjos or Laguna Green as we all come under the Village name of Entre Naranjos now?. There are many houses and apartments for sale here and they seem to be selling quite well now although at quite low prices. You will not only have standing charges for electric and water but also suma (council rates),  IBM which is a non residents tax, and you have to employ a fiscal rep if you are non resident. We have Vicente who has an office on site and will take care of everything legal for you at quite a low cost compared to others. He will do everything from padron, residencia, income tax, doctors appts, deal with speeding or parking fines and anything else you can think of. We have a facebook site called Entre Naranjos Orihuela which is open to the public and also a website for owners only so if and when you buy you can apply to John556@telefonica.net with the number of your property and he will make you a member. We do have quite a lot going on and next weekend we have free coaches to the medieval market at Orihuela, 29th April there is going to be a huge party for the Royal Wedding and in July we are hopefully going to hold another fiesta as last years was such a success. I was considering at an apartment on Entre Naranjos.  Two of my friends have apartments there and I have managed to get a rough idea of costs from one of them.

We have stayed in the area for quite a few years so we are used to the area etc.  It is good to here how successful the community events are.
