Buying a car to keep in Spain

Hi, I have worked out it is costing us almost £2,000 in hire, petrol up front costs, extra insurance and petrol to drive down in th summer. I was wondering if it is cheaper to buy a small cheap car and leave it there. I know taxi costs are 300 euros to get to the site and back. Is it cheaper keeping it near the airport? any idea of tax, insurance etc on a small car like a yaris? I have heard you can pick up lhd cars in he uk quite reasonably . Any help would be greatly appreciated of where I could buy one as well. Thanks in advance. Steve

I bought a clio at xmas 6k euro ins 300 euro car parking 300 euro cover mur and alc airport, i should have done years ago, drove over twice last year cost over 2k. buy a spanish reg car in spain. ( give ebay a miss ) you will save long term, or find a friend and go halves

I did nothing, the guy i bought from very nice spanish guy he sorted it all out. Last week the boot seemed hard to lift up, so i went back to see him one of the arms on the boot is broke, so he has ordered me 2 new ones. He will fit them for free the next time im over.I had to buy a tax disc last week 60euro for the year.www.kalydautos.com

Good Luck with the car hunt if you do buy from that garage haggle with him. i got 300 euro off he would not give me any more off. But when the mot is due in sept he will pay for it. He a good bloke if i had more money he had some very nice cars and NOT over the top on prices.
