Water

Whats happened to SG water supply . The pressure was excellent , now it's down to a drizzle . Could the supply have reduced by some body to save money .

Several of us have spoken to Agua De murcia today and they are going to investigate and send engineers up to SG.

Shoul d you ever need to speak to aguas de Murcia ask for Carmen Martinez she speaks English and is very good.   

Agua de Murcia called up at lunchtime, and with the help of Miguel  translating (Miguel & Sandra) explained to the engineers the problem on the whole of SG they went away to look at the supply, since then the water pressure seems restored, so fingers crossed it is sorted.. 

Congratulations Ladybarra the dam as been opened , !st good shower in over a week . Well done

The shortage of water on SG has been ( allegedly ) down to  water being diverted to the lake on the golf

What do you mean, this seems to be regular occurrance when we have been there June July and September. People and houses need water first and needs sorting out. We pay they should supply.

This was a problem last month where we found that the water supply was being restricted and the presssure was up and down all day and weekend, therefore trying to shower meant a water can effect, using the washing machine was a slow fill and toilets filled very slowly ,  those up towards the pool bar where even more effected. It appears that water alledgly was being diverted, sadly we had to involve Agua de Murcia to find out the source of why we were all suffering when the pressure had been so good. (apparently several years ago its because someone turn something at Sucina) It appears that a diversion to the lake was the problem, but it is now sorted and most probably wont happen again as there were 'smacked hands' ....

But as you may be aware now there are residents without water which is a seperate issue, this is apparently if you have no contract  or were on builders supply I am told (there is a seperate message on this). The is an English speaking lady at aqua de Murcia Carmem Martinez who is a handy contact if anyone is in this situation.   

Iv'e lived on site nearly two years and this as been the first really bad reduction in water , in fact the water pressure on SG is excellent . You pay your bill to the water  company who do a great job in Spain . A week of " hot " weather and theres water hosp pipe bans. It was not them who diverted the water to the golf , when they found out it was sorted ASP .
