Flight from Doncaster to Alicante

Hi - we have just returned from a very pleasant trip to the Murcia region.  We visited the Polaris World office and found all the staff very helpful, friendly and efficient.  We were assured that work will be starting on Terrazas this month (September). (Will let you know if we hear any more).  We also found the actual site - identified by a large Polaris World sign.  We went to La Torre which is very impressive and had a look at the show apartment - again we were very impressed by the finish of the building.  We stayed at the Mar Menor in a 2 bed villa which was lovely.  We had two meals on site both of which were very good and although not cheap were worth the money.  The Intercontinental Hotel is well worth a visit.  We found everything well cared for and clean.  We had a drive around the beaches along the Mar Menor and found quite a few we really liked - the sea was lovely and clean and very warm - not very deap though - you have to go out along way to get waist deep.  We are very pleased with our purchase and have no regrets having been out to visit our only moan is that it will be a long 2 years before we get to stay there.  We can recommend a good representative if you want to buy and also a solicitor.  We managed to open a bank account and apply for NIE number with no problems in the same day.

Like Lulu my wife and I had a great time looking around the Polaris wolrd sites. We had a fantastic lunch at the golf club at La Torre and were very impressed with the standard of work and the thoughtful planning that seems to be a trade mark of Polaris. Its good to hear that they are due to start building in Sept. as the contract states two years from the start date. We are due to visit Spain again in Oct. ( Alicante) but will make every effort to find out more about Terrazzas and Polaris World and post more information on the site for otheres to read. ...Till then all the best ..... Roscoe

While you were out there did you notice if there was any activity on the  Mar Menor 2 site.

Hi there, I visited the head office and all the sites this week and again have nothing but good things to say. I spent a lot of time at La Torre and had a buggy tour - Wow! My concerns about density of build got blown out the window, there really are wide open spaces and fantastic landscaping. Show aparts looked really good with great bathrooms (although the second floor one's kitchen was a bit small - penthouse was much better!). I'm really happy with my purchase (a penthouse on Terraces) and my dad's bought one at Jardines de Condado so we are both evangelizing!! We bought through an agent in Almeria and got a cashback on our purchases within 6 weeks of reservation - not bad!! Contact me if you want his details. Got to practise my putting now - only 2 years to go.

Re: Mar Menor 2 - sales were going well, land was cleared where new area will be and learned that a new boulevard was going to go all the way to the beach (with a roundabout to exit the development onto the road at last!!) and generally all was well.

My wife and I have just returned from Polaris world  La torre to be precise and are still excited by what we see . An excellent golf course with  fantastic facilities . I was able to hire a club for 6 Euros and 48 ball for 2 euros... wow!  I only hope that Terrazas will be equal to La Torre if not better! It certainly has inspired me to take up golf again. Only one snag, we called into Head Office and nobody there seems to know when the build will start at Terrazas. The contract states two years from the start of the build...it would be nice to be given clear start dates , so if anyone out there has this info. please let us all know!
