Hi
We have an issue with our spare bedroom door in that the whole mechanism has disintegrated, door is shut and we are unable to open it! Both handles, inside and outside are no longer on the door and the main bar does not turn the lock!
Is there a qualified locksmith on site or any contacts that could help?

Try Salva in J587.  He seems to be able to turn his hand to anything.
