Hi Richard,

you won't be able to set up direct debits until you have had the water and electric meters installed, likewise TV / Internet if you will be using them. If you have used, as I did, a legal representative to complete your purchase then they will be able to set up the direct debits for you. I seem to remember Maria at Polaris organising the water and electric installation for me. I suggest you have a look at the New2You second hand furniture shop at the South end of Torrevieja before you go out and buy from one place, they have a lot of smaller pieces that could fit in with most themes. We mostly used IKEA as we live in Sweden and know the shop well, but did buy other things from various sources as in fills.

Hope this helps, looks like they're doing the interiors now as I look across. Also starting to cement around the building base as far as I can see. Might stroll across later and send you a photo or two..

I have received an email from Polaris World today stating that the block should be finished by the end of the week and then they are applying for all the construction and habitation certificates from the town hall and anticipate that completion will be in July - its looking good.

You lucky devil - were not gonna be able to go over for a while yet, please send us photos of our apartment if you can (ground floor, third from left, below you).  When we were over there at Easter we went to DFS (on the same road as Iceland if you were driving up to Dos Mare Shopping Centre).  The lady there was extremely helpful, they know exactly what furniture will fit into each apartment (they furnish most of the polaris world resorts) and we thought it was very reasonably priced too - we will go back to DFS when we go over perhaps some time next month.

Great progress on the block, car park spaces all marked out, internals nearly finished and specimen trees, hedges put in yesterday, today turf being laid,all looking very nice  cant be long before you get the call to pay your money. I will take some photos tomorrow when turfing is finished , any one who would like to see please send me your email as a private message

Past experience says they will try hard to get habitation certificates  early July , if not most government departments go to sleep until Sept.
