Kelly. Really sorry to here you are not enjoying the beginning of your ownership, I'm not currently having aircon fitted but I've heard about the problems this block has had, unfortunately the same issue has occurred in other blocks in the past, who from polaris world have you contacted, I'm here until Monday and know a few people in the office so I could have a word with them if you want me too. As for cleaning mine wasn't great but I payed my key holder to to a clean before I got here, the Spanish idea of clean is miles from ours, did you get pictures, it should of been emptied and swept out but things like render in the Windows ect they will leave, my friends apartment on the 1st floor was as bad as mine. The tiling in mine is ok only a few small steps in the joints but nothing that stands out, have you reported that to polaris? Have you got pictures? If you have email them me and I'll show them as well. Post Box keys, right security still have a few to collect from owners so they can sort them, mine were dropped off last week, my friend picked his up from the keyholder on Monday obviously they didn't work so we returned them to security, when I asked them how long it would take to sort them out he wouldn't give me a straight answer, this is a matter for resotalia so I've email them to put pressure on, I will try to call in at there office at some point. Hello Audrey, the smart TV you purchased does it have tdt tuner built in this the Spanish version of free view so it must have it built in or you have to buy a separate box. Your direct debits for water and electricity should have been set up by your lawyer during the purchase process, your account will be debited approximately €150 each for connection fees. What bank are you with, most have English translated online accounts easily accessible from laptops, phones ect. Cajamar who I'm with have an app for phones it is in Spanish but easily understandable. HTH Richard

Thanks for that Richard, if you think you can make any progress with Polaris then please feel free, however, they already have a copy of the photos that we have taken but it doesn't seem to have made any difference - if you get any joy, please let us know. We have been dealing with Ana Belen and copied in several other people there aswell - what a waste of time. We will be seeing our solicitors at the end of the month.
For your info, we have contacted Resortalia about the problems, including the key situation, and as we expected they are saying its nothing to do with them and have passed the buck to Polaris - its a nightmare !!
Just a word of warning, I dont know if you have experienced people trying to get into the apartment without your permission, but as soon as we get over there in a couple of weeks we will be changing the locks so that Polaris no longer have access to the property. We have spoken to someone who has knowledge of things going missing/stolen from the apartments when Polaris still hold a key - its worth considering changing if you haven't already.
We will be over at the end of the month, please make sure the sun stays put !!

Anybody purchasing a new apartment, must ensure the snaging is done before taking ownership and advising Polaris what needs to be rectified. Polaris should then remedy for you to inspect again until such time you are satisfied.
In relation to electricity, please ensure that your direct debits are set up with the bank, alot of people believe this had been done, to only find out to your cost that you had been cut off. It then takes about four to five days and a lot of stress to get reconnected.
In relation to satellite dishes, if you have enough people in your block who want a satelite dish then you request approval from Resortalia, and once obtained you can proceed. This must be for the community of the Block and will be installed on the roof.
Individual dishes for an apartment is not allowed.

Well we came over for a couple of days specifically to do the snagging with Polaris a month before we purchased the property. We were promised that the property was going to be thoroughly cleaned and as there was no lighting in the bathroom, were also told that if there was any bathroom issues, these would also be sorted out out before completion too. Our issue with the keys and our air conditioning unit, were problems only discovered after our purchase and would not have been picked up on the snagging check anyway!!! Unfortunately, the person who dealt with us left PW just prior to the sale. She was brilliant - constantly in contact with us and replying instantly to questions. It doesn't appear that they have been able to replace her with anyone close to her abilities!

Contact Maria Sempere at Polaris World, she has always rectifed any problems that I have encountered, and from my dealings with her she is excellent. Also she speaks very good English

Kevin Maria had always been helpful with us until this we when she is now telling us to lease with customers services to get our snagging list complete which of course should of be and she promised it would be completed by our return on the 9th of October as we reported it at the beginning of August. It is now becoming a nightmare

Please bear with me I'm trying to upload pictures from my phone of some very big holes in the roof of Block 275 which is obviously not good when the rainy time is approaching.
Audlek, I'm currently out here trying to help a few other owners, can you remind me of the issues that you are have and I'll see if I can help.
I've found out this week that our block was built by a different construction company than the vast majority on the complex.
I will post a better response with pictures when I have my laptop.

Hi Richard thanks for this, to my knowledege we are still waiting on an electician to fix ceiling lights in small bedroom as the do not work never have, a plumber for the batthroom as the two taps inside the shower unit ( i thimk the appear to be stop cocks) but when you touch these thet just come off the wall and the taps in the utilitty cupboard are extremley poorly afixed to the wall and we are waiting on a replacement breakfast bar, we had a lonf snagging list but Maria assure me this is all that is outstanding we will not be abble to check if the rest of the snagging is done until we arrive on the 9th Oct.
It is not sounding good holes in the roof hopefully they will be fixed before the weather changes, sounds like you are on the case.
Are you out in Spain at the moment?

Hi Audrey, yes I'm currently out here, sorry to here about your problems, a friend of mine has purchased 1A and the light outside the bathroom doesn't work, we have fitted all the lights in both apartments so will take a closer look at that one tomorrow , the stop tap covers are a very poor idea they all fall off, I'll replace them later with something better. I'm going to check the roof again to see if they have been repaired it, I'm going down to the polaris off on Monday to see them about a few other problems people are having, send me your apartment number and I'll see what I can do.
