Mijas area, Costa Del Sol

Hi All

Well sadly we are back but managed to achieve everything we went out to do except sort out a shower cubicle.We had a great week met  tom went out for a drink and a meal with him he,s a lovely man , ken also changed our door lock and toms while we were there because 3 of our keys are floating about somewhere anybody could have them so we thought it safer to do so and only cost 13 euros.kens going to post some photos later fliss he got some good ones.The day before we came home another couple arrived with a van load of furniture and moved in next door to us only got chance to speek to them briefly so don.t know if they are planning to live there or not i.m sure you.ll have company fliss at least by next year when you move out there. Oh yes any suggestions on the shower cubicle .

Wow! I'm so excited now I've seen how lovely your apartment looks with furniture and white goods installed.  Thank you for putting so many great pics on the site.  I've just been showing my colleagues and they're all completely green with envy!  Can't wait now to get out there again.  So glad you got everything done; hope you get the shower cubicle sorted soon too. You can start to enjoy your holiday home now hopefully.  Reassuring also to know you've seen other people around.  I do hope we meet in the not too distant future.  I've got two visits booked now; the one on 30 October and just booked for my sister and I to come out on 5 Feb next year for 8 days.   So I hope I can catch up with some of my fellow residents during one of those visits.

Hi Fliss

We are out again in november and then march and tom is again out in march at the same time so it it will be nice to meet up with him.We are really looking forward to meeting you fliss and you.ll be the the lucky one staying in almoradi when we have to come home.I really felt at home whilst i was there and definately felt i could live there and in the future who knows but for now we have to keep on working to pay for it but what a lovely aim and home we have got when we do retire.

Thanks for the reassurance.  I'm so looking forward to my next visit.  You've made your apartment look lovely; I plan to keep mine minimal and uncluttered too.  The lovely white walls and shiny floors are just gorgeous aren't they?   I've started some clearing out now and hope to find someone to move just a few boxes over for me by van; I have a name so I'll be contacting him soon.  I'm not planning to take much, but I do want some of my books and personal things.

I hope we'll all have a drink together in the not too distant future.

Hi Fliss

We will definately be having that drink but looking like it could be july before we actually get to meet we are out then for a week with our grandaughter .Our son and two of his friends are going out early november i just hope the utilities are still on for them.We definately are aiming to keep the decor simple just need curtains or voiles and a few pictures to make it more homely . I hope everything goes smoothly for you when you go out but i.m sure it will ,sometimes it gets to feel a bit overwhelming but then everything slots into place and its all been worth it .

Hi Carol,

Looks like a long time before we meet then doesn't it?    I might be there at the same time as your son though, but  I'll only have a couple of days actually at the apartment. I'm getting quite excited at the prospect of being out there again soon now, but a bit worried about things like the utilities and getting my lights sorted etc.  Still, as you say, it'll all get sorted in the end.
