 Hello everyone......

I thought I would say 'Hi!' in my first post. Just completed the purchase of a property at Roda Golf (phase 3). We have been coming to Roda on holiday for the last 3 years and really enjoy it every time. 

The idea to buy a property popped into my head the last time we were over in October 2012. I saw a few properties for sale and started to look on the internet at prices. In true 'bloke fashion', I acted too late and didn't get round to looking at any properties during the time we were over. However, I simply couldn't stop thinking about the possibility of purchasing something.

I contacted a few agents in January and popped over to Roda again. I think we looked at every style of property on Roda in 2 days! We looked at all styles of apartments, semi detactched houses, town houses and villas - both resale and new. Whe we got back to the UK, I knew I definitely wanted to buy. I just had to find the right one. Eventually, we found our property in March and the rest is history. I'm back out with the kids in a couple of weeks - they're really excited to see the place. My parents have beaten me though, they're in Roda already !!

I'm looking forward to meeting some of you. One of the first jobs will be to get broadband installed as I have the flexibility of 'working from home' - I can see me doing that a lot more now :-)  All the best.

Welcome to both the forum and to Roda, hope you enjoy your decision.
As per mine and Pommers posts on the Thinking of Buying thread, if you are unsure of anything at Roda contact roda@resortalia.com who handle most administration for both the Entidad and your Community, yes we have 2 levels of burocracy to deal with as well as San Javier Town Hall.
For your own benefit ensure your purchase is free of all debt and give the administrator your contact details to ensure all future payments are made. Thy also send a weekly news update to all registered emails so you can keep in touch with things.
Try to attend AGMs if possible when you have you say in running affairs.
Currently the only Internet option appears to be Teleast based near Mercadona in LA.
Also a good idea to ensure you have a local and reliable key holder, just in case of any problems when you are not there.
