The Village: La Marina is very Spanish in character, but it manages to provide all the little extras to let you enjoy your stay - English newspapers published on the same day, an English supermarket etc.
There is a tourist information office, pharmacy, travel agency, many shops, bars and restaurants.
The El Pinet /La Marina beaches are superb - cleaned every day, lifeguards on duty in the season, beach bars/restaurants, toilets and a superb spiders web climbing frame for the kids.
Just a kilometre or so inland lies the urbanization of La Marina. This boasts an extensive range of facilities from large supermarkets to internet cafes and a snooker club.
There is a wide variety of restaurants - Chinese, Indian, English etc.
La Marina urbanization has markets on Sundays and Thursdays.
