Hi Steve and Jan

The answer seems to be that it depends where you are on the complex.  Properties low down (say in Phase II near the uncultivated area) seem to be affected if the spring is particularly warm.  Properties further up, nearer the Academy, have fewer winged visitors.  Some people have enclosed the back porch area with netting - however, we've had a house there for 8 years and apart from the occasional swoosh with the fly spray/swatter it hasn't been a problem.  After all, it's hot, it's the countryside, there are bound to be some flies trying to make an honest living!

Hi "Carmol7"

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated, my wife read a few reviews that mentioned flies, and was flapping a wee bit :-)

Any other tips/advice/good/bad or indifferent on the complex would be greatly appreciated.  Done our homework online, coming over next week to look at a few villas.  You say you have been there for 8 years, are things on the up?

Kind Regards

Steve & Jan

Hi Steve and Jan.

If I was in the position to buy on HDA now I would get on the first plane out and snap one up whilst they are at such stupid low prices. The people who are selling them  must be losing such a lot of money.

We purchased in 2004 and love the resort.

You sometimes get flies at the start of the hot weather but they do a spray over by helicoptor and that solves the problem.

This is common all over Spain .I have seen a terrible amount of flies on the Costa del Sol whilst staying at a 5 star hotel.

I am sure that you wife will love the resort when she is sitting on the balcony of La Terezza having a wonderful meal and a lovely cocktail.

Regards Ricky

Hey I was over last week and fell in love with the resort - you can see what it will be in a few years and agree now is the time to buy as they will never be as low as what they are now.

Any info on buying tips, people who are good at DIY, electrician etc please please post on here xx
