Went on my annual trip to Condado and made my first visit to La Cata, last week. Had a large pizza and it was excellent, enjoyed the place so much went back another night. This time I had a selection of cheeses to start and pigs cheak for a main, both of these were really superb and the prices were reasonable.The large pizza was only 14 Euros and was enough for 2! The place was the bussiest of all the restaurants on Condado and had a great atmosphese with exceptional service.
Went to Sofias which was the Bulgerian, this was, in the past, my fave restaurant on Condado, but I found the new menu to be far more expensive. Starters were around 10 Euros and Mains were about 12-28 Euro. A couple having 3 courses with a bottle of wine could be spending upto 100 Euros, which seems a lot compared to the local competition! There was a pizza/pasta menu available which was cheaper though, but didnt try this.
Big G's was good as usual, I think of all the restaurants this has the strongest theme and the best decor, they have really made an effort.
Bakko never looks appealing, I never saw a single person in there all week and when I looked inside, it looked like a youth club. Also didnt visit the French/mediteranian restaurant, looked a bit sparse and boring inside and the reviews I read on here have not been great.
Also loved the Villa Indian Restaurant on Campsol A and Gran Mundo Chinease near the Port, both amazing food and unbelievable value for money!
However, to finally answer your question, the best Pizza in the area, by far, is the Pizza/Pasta buffett in Thader, its called Muerde La Pasta (which translates to Bite the Pulp, but dont let this put you off!). I always have a night there, shop till 10pm then, its 9.90 Euro for unlimted Pizza, Pasta, Salad, Sweets, Coffee, Beer, Soft Drinks, Cakes, Ice Cream etc.... Its like a Vegas Buffet! There are about 30 pastas to choose from, The Pizza is constantly being made fresh and you have about 10 to choose from, including White Chocolate Pizza with Oreo sprinkles, its sensational!
Also vistited Foster Hollywood American restaurant in Thader, but dont bother, the portions are small and you are better off at Big G's!
Paid a visit to Paramount Theme park, but was disapointed to see that its still not open? Maybe next year?
