I would just like to thank all at Eye on Spain as I would not have found my ideal apartment had I not found this site on google.

I purchased my property on Novo Arcos through Sunset Estates and managed to buy an  2 bed apartment on the first phase that Im told is due to complete towards the end of May or early June.

I have been in Spain for a while waiting for the mortgage company to value the property (took a bit longer than I´d hoped for, but hey this is Spain).

I was very pleasently surprised when the value came back more than 24,000€ more than I have payed for the apartment.

I too have used the lawyer recomended by Sunset Estates and am pleased to say that all seems to be going to plan at the moment.

I plan to use the apartment several times a year and  try to rent it out for a few weeks if anybody knows anybody who is looking to rent in the area.
Look forward to meeting some of you in the summer.

So far so good is all that I can say at the moment!
I must say that I am thrilled with the valuation I received and am convinced that buying in Arcos de la Frontera was the right move for me after all.
I too like a few other people posting messages looked at other countries to buy in but thought that Arcos was by far the most attractive and safest option and it just seemed to tick all my boxes.
I will let you know when I complete what I think of my appartment but for the price I am paying Im quite sure that it will be lovely.

We also have purchased an apartment in the first phase so far so good .Glad to hear you have had your valuation done, we are still waiting to hear.We have been told completion date could be mid/end June,then occupation certificate could take another month. So far we are happy also with Sunset Estates solicitor. If you get any updates please let us know. We will keep you informed should we hear anything.

We have heard today that the completion day will start  from 2nd July

There will be 3 buyers signing there deeds per day from then.
