Why did you choose Condado de Alhama to buy

I am coming out next month to look at the appartments with a view to buy.

Just wondered what it was that made you decide to buy on this resort please and if it was the right decision?

For us was a decision made based on our kids excitment. And still cant fault that, good for kids playing and relatively safe. 

I would only be carefull on choosing the agent. There are few threats here talking about!

We had a look on several places in the Murcia-Area but when we arrived to
Condado de Alhama (we all call it CDA) we immediately felt like coming home.
The entire resort is a real living community almost perfectly maintained and managed.
Additionally the golf course looked really impressive (even if three of five lakes were empty at that time)..
Our first intension was a front-line golf Penthouse but finally we bought a first floor
apartment in Jardín 1 with a fantastic solarium and amazing views and a lovely pool...
It easily became our paradise and there is up to now not one moment to regret the decision...

I originally bought off plan and placed a deposit back in 2005. 

I chose Condado because of:

- The planned 3 Jack Nicklaus golf courses

- The Oasis shopping & entertainment centre

- The Bowling Alley & Cinema

- The Boating Lake

- The use of the spa at the 5 star intercontinental hotel

- The free shuttle busses to all the other Polaris Resorts.

Unfortunately none of the above materialised, instead my property lost half its value. 

If I could turn back time, I would not have bought!

We bought, not for the things Daren listed but because it was a secured site. We dont play golf so that was not important to us. I am 13 yrs older than my husband & knew I would retire long before him

I wanted somewhere that I could go to on my own & not feel scared. We looked at many places but they did not have any security.

Admittedly we do not have all that was promised but I doubt if you will find any site that was starting just before & during the crash that has. We are lucky. Many sites still have part finished roads, no shops etc. My friend bought a very large appartment on Costa Del sol, the cost was three times as much as ours. There are shells of buildings that are now covered in grafity. no or little lighting. she had to drive 35 minutes to get to shops etc. She has not visited her apartment for over three years now because she is often the only person on site & is very scared. but she is still having to pay her mortgage I was over on Condado last week & I doubt if there was more than three families in our Garden but I felt very safe.

We bought in winter 2013 so to us it's still 'very new and exciting'.

We bought through Condado Invest and used PALS solicitors .........both were excellent and very thorough.

We love the location of our apartment J8 and the spectacular veiws it has and we especially were comfortable to lock up and leave as it was gated (there were a few incidences of theft last year tho)

We dont go out in the school holidays as it would be too hot and too busy for us but love to visit at any other times.

We have no regrets and hope to retire there for longer periods
