Difference in Ikea Bed sizes

Hi

We are looking to change our single beds into new singles and either a king size or a double but do not know which of the latter would fit easily in a two bed Jardines apartment. I already have really nice & expensive bedding for the singles but as we are thinking of buying our new beds I am not sure if our existing bedding will be ok

Any advice would be appreciated

May I say a big thank you to everyone who has sent me a PM re buying beds, Ikea beds & the best size to have ie double or king size. We went to our local Ikea this evening but during that time we received an email from Furniture Plus who have agreed to recompense us for the broken beds. To be fair to them they have "bent over backwards" to find us alternatives from a different supplier and hopefully all will be setled by this weekend
