Hi

Just joined the forum as looking at coming out in July with a view to purchase.

I have been talking to La Vida about the bank repossesions( 2 Bed) but would welcome any thoughts on buying in the new blocks as opposed to ones that have been up for a few years.I appreciate there is a difference in the costs.

Also where can I find information on the golf course ?

Any help would be appreciated

Mike

thanks for the reply

The older ones start from 55000 euro and  a new one in the latest blocks seem to be 69000  Euro upwards for 2 bed propetries.

When we were buying last year La Vida were more expensive - try looking at Blue Med Invest and Chersun.  There are bank repossessions available on all phases not just phase one - it's really worth shopping around :-)

The Golf course is called Saurines and is run by IRM you can find IRM on line. IRM run the six ex Polaris World courses and keep them well maintained.  They are busy courses as they are well designed.  IRM is owned by the bad debt bank and although IRM is financially viable the bank will be looking to sell on.  Hopefully the Nike sponsorship and the quality of the courses will mean that any sale enables them to continue to flourish.

Hi Mike,

We recently bought on Phase 1 via La Vida. It was a Bankia reposession. La Vida also market and sell the new builds, but as you say, they are being sold at a higher price.

Like many of the UK banks, Bankia are now partially state owned following a government bailout to stop them going under. As part of the rescue deal, Bankia have to get the reposessed property off their balance sheets to improve their liquidity ratios. This means they are more heavily discounted than the new builds and private sales.

We are more than happy with our apartment and the price paid. Its a great location and is in close proximity to the pool, supermarket and restaurant/bar.

I agree with Zooropey, it will be worth your while shopping around. Speak to a few estate agents and see what they are offering and what prices they are asking. Have a look at the properties, spend some time on the resort.

We spent over a week when we looked in December last year and La Vida were happy to take us viewing on four separate occasions with no high pressure sales. In fact, they couldn't have been more laid back!

Good luck with your search, I hope you find what you are looking for.

smiley

Not sure how this can be a steal as all they are promoting is the banks propertues that have just been released by Sareb and where there is a bank website that publishes all of the prices and availability, especially when the hearder says €38k and in the body of the text it says

ORIGINAL PRICE: FROM 145.000 €. NEW PRICES FROM ONLY 49.800 €

There are no one bed properites now left at €38k the the one at €41k has been sold so now they start at €43k

Also be very careful with certain agents as threy add a buying fee of around €3k on top of the prices as there is low commissions on bank properties so make sure that you ask

rainnedayz ---- When Zooropey says they are a steal he /she  is probably meaning a steal from the prices of the happy days of 145k euro for an apt.

In anyone's book under £40k for an apartment on Terrazas is a steal.  I didn't say it wasn't true - just its great value.  The price we had quoted when we brought included estate agents fees.  It is worth checking but I think mostly its included.

Mike I hope you like the one you view :-) but do ask to see some others to compare.  We did and still brought the first we saw in the end.

you have to be careful because there are some agents that will advertise properties that are not availabke at that price to get enquires, then they register you with the banks whic then stops any other agents dealing with you

I don't know of anything on La Isla at that price and the thing to remember is that you are surrounded by a water deposit which can create its own problems
