we have just returned from a visit to Almanzora (23 April 07). We spoke to a lady called Keiko who has an office in a showhome. She confirmed that plans have now been approved and are waiting for the final rubber stamp before building will restart. They are hoping for the final decision in 2 - 3 months time although by law they are required to have the final decision by 5 months, ie September 07.
Keiko also told me that Ferrovial have a 2000 strong construction crew ready to start when they get the go ahead from the court and all properties have been sold. I have seen photos on this website of the site, but I am going to try and post the up to date ones I took on my visit as I didn't realise quite how much building work had been done before the stoppage.
We did leave the site feeling that we have still made a good choice in buying here, even with the problems, and just hope that we will see progress in the autumn . We are fortunate enough in that we are not waiting to make our permanent move to Spain yet (that is 11 yrs away!) and it is bound to be built by then, but it is really frustrating.
