As an invester who has bought 2 properties at La Noria in Vejer, I am surprised by the posts from David.
I bought my first property in Manzana 9 at La Noria 3 years ago for around £85,000, this is now worth around £155,000 a profit of £70,000! My second property I bought in one of the new phases, Manzana 2 and this was around £132,000. These are bigger properties and come with underground parking etc., I have in the last month completed on this property and the current value is £175,000 so another profit of £43,000. So to say these are not a good investment is crazy.
Vejer is (in my opinion) far prettier and certainly more sought after than Arcos. The location is far better we are only 10 minutes drive from the sea. Arcos is a good 40 minutes from the sea. Yes property might be cheaper but it is inland, so they should be.
As for Mercers, I can only speak from personal experience over the past 3 years but I've always found them to be very professional and have already recommended them to frends, one of whom is also now buying. They have been around a long time and do seem to know their stuff.
