Hugh at No 51, has made enquiries regarding the lack of tiles around the pool, as it stands people would step directly from the pool onto the grass, obviously this could lead to the grass becoming a mess in no time. The pool on the adjacent site has a tiled area all the way around the outside edge and appears to be finished to a higher standard.
Hugh is only one voice, it is suggested that as many residents / occupiers as possible raise this problem with Neli in the site office or through agents, in an attempt to have the pool more suitably finished off by the builders.
If not, we as a community may have to pay for the work to be done after the site is handed over.
Hugh has written to Neli and asked for a written response.
Thanks for your support

Hi Mick,
We thought it was very strange that they hadn't put any tiles around the outside of the pool and assumed they would be doing it at a later date. The water in the pool wouldn't be too good if you're going in straight from the grass as it would be wet and muddy cos you are meant to shower as well before you use the pool! We will definitely put in our two pennies worth when we go out!
Is there any news on when we may be able to use it?
Keep us posted.
Cheers
Paul & Bernie

Hi Everyone,
Wondered if there was any further progress with putting the Pool to use? If you look closely at the Photo that I posted last month there are very thin timber decking tiles to the perimeter and below the top level of the pool creating a trip hazzard..Can't quite fathom what the builder has attempted to do here and if indeed they have completed as they intended? Also what about completion of the step ladders into the pool? If the work remains incomplete (we are set to complete on No 36) I will ask our Solicitor to request what is going on.
Is there any outstanding issue on Insurance that could prevent putting the pool into use ?
Regarding Homes and Contents Insurance is this done through the Community by E.G. way of pro rata contributing to a block Insurance or do we do this privately. Can anyone please advise and if we have to go privately for Insurance, any recommendations?
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,
We have just been out there for a week. They came to cut the grass whilst we were there. As to the decking boards this will have to be checked with the plans that were submitted to the town hall. If the builder has it down as that then there is nothing we can do but pool together as the community and pay for a couple of rows of slabs to go round instead. If however he stated on the plans that it would be slabbed round then he has to change it.
On the day we were leaving they came to drain the dirty water from the pool and it looked like they had a jet wash machine as if to clean the tiles. It makes sense that they would not do this if they weren't intending to fill with water soon after! Also they looked to be fitting the showers.
From speaking with Hugh at 53 he has been told that when the builder signs off the site we have to appoint an administrator who will have to inform all owners of rules etc concerning the community. Everyone then has to send back their response as to acceptance or refusal before insurance can be arranged for the pool to be used. August is usually shut down month in Spain and little gets done. Hugh said that the date end of June for builder to hand over has been mentioned to him but obviously this is not written in stone.
As for insurance we have ours with intasure. www.intasure.com 02082746757. They do insurance for holiday homes.
When do you complete?
Hope this helps
Regards
Bernie

Hi Mike,
Our neighbours from no 53 phoned us last night to tell us there is an AGM on 28 June at 10am. The builder apparently wants to sign over ASAP.
They also said that the pool was being filled as we spoke and was about a foot from being full. Still cant be used until insurance is arranged but hopefully if everything goes ok might be sorted for summer months.Lets hope so cos it's gonna be hot!!
Regards
Bernie
