I am trying to get in touch with owners of apartments on the unfinished part of the block (facing the golg course)
Just received a letter from jale indicating a new delay. Is anyone going to take legal action against them?

I am an owner of a completed apartment, so not exactly what you are looking for however, i have returned from Fairways only a couple of weeks ago and the builders were getting on quite well. What do Jale say is the reason for the delay, and when are you now likely to complete. At the last community meeting they indicated that they would be finished by the end of this year, and looking at the work in progress i would have said that the date given was achievable. We paid our initial deposit 4 years ago and completed Jan 2005,since then we have had to put up with a building site for almost 2 years, no water and electricity at times, and various other problems, however i can now see and end to all this, and we should all be able to enjoy the fruits of our labour soon in what i believe to be a very good development. In terms of legal action i dont think you will get very far, but i am sure you will have been offered a refund on your purchase from Jale, so if you are that unhappy maybe that is an option for you.

I also have an apartment in the unfinished section. I have not received any notification from Jale re a further dealy - last date my lawyer was given by Jale was Dec 06. I will be visiting the site within the next week and I will then be able to form my own opinion of the situation and will post an update accordingly.

I am also in the unfinished appartments but on the opposite side not golf facing. I was in Duquesa two weeks ago thing seemed to have moved on greatly in recent months and the girl in the office, was suggesting completion of non golf side was well on target for completion by end of October with the full development completed by year end.
There was three parts of the development however she did not know what was happening with.
1. The club house
2. The area above the parking
3. One of the appartments, which is listed for sale as a two bed appartment, but which has no internal walls!

We are still waiting for our apartment on the golf side to be finished and have almost given up on the property. Does anybody know if we can still ask for our money back for breach of contract or if anybody has done that or sued Jale?

Gappy, Have a look at the new photos - they are working hard on the remaining apartments and I feel that Dec 06 is realistic - ish On the contract issue speak to Jale or the David Robinson rep in the showflat. Bill

just back from the fairways. made an appointment to view my appartment as not allowed on site. met david robinsons partner clive. he said my appt. (middle gap golf facing ground) will be complete 6-8 weeks. this seems realistic as now tiled, kitchen going in etc. BUT externally, the new sales lady said before we met clive the complex should be complete jan-feb. I still cann't understand after 4 years why no one has any information. what more can you say. on a positive note, the complex is looking very nice.
