some advice please

^{Has anyone else noticed that the video you can watch on the Grupo site does not work properly,I can only see about half the screen ,but I've just tried this ,when you go yo their site choose the spanish flag its all the same but in spanish , click on Alta to watch the whole video unless you speak spanish though you might as well mute the sound,Also any of you who are like me obsessed with Spain will have noticed, the channel that has started on sky (LIVING IN SPAIN) channel 293 some of the people on there you will recognise from living in the sun with Nadia,Friday night( tonight with Trevor McDonald ) is this week supposed to be about the Spanish property market.}

To watch the video on grupo trampolin I just double clicked on it and it show the whole video even though it is only small.

Only change to sky this week from cable and have also been watching  (living in spain) ive found it very interesting

Thanks Diane for that tip I've been trying for months to watch that video but it has only worked if I re-size it so small that I cant see it,but that double click has done the trick.Right I managed to start a new thread from nothing so how about some one else have a go its easy,like does anyone know where the nearest fish & chip shop is to Campos Del Rio or McDonalds,I eagerly await your new threads.

why do you go to spain and eat mcdonalds or fish and chips?

I was over last year with my sister and her husband and they only wanted to eat chinese!!!!

I want to eat spanish food and embrace the culture in spain.

OH i ALMOST FORGOT I also want to drink spanish wine and beer.

Thanks Gerry for at least taking the time to reply,the truth is when I am in Spain I always go to my favourite resturante which is Venta Romero which is just outside Cuevas de Reyllo on the MU602 I have menu of the day for 9euro which has five courses and wine & beer also included and that is a full bottle of  red which my wife always brings the wine she cannot drink home.All this we order in Spanish as we have been to night school, back at recently our stolen caravan we did enjoy fine wines from aldi,and my personal tipple is a litre bottle of cerveza from Mercadona at just 62 cents a litre.Venta Romero is basically to look at a large truck stop which there are lots of,but once inside you have neatly laid tables and first class food,sometimes we just go for tapas and a beer but usually have menu del dia.Changing the subject I suppose some of you saw Tonight with Trevor McDonald no relation to my favourite burger chain I'm so fond of!!!!! about the housing market collapse,my wife is reading to me as I stab the keys and is reading an article from Homes and Holiday which comes in the Daily Mirror which it says the collapse is not all over Spain as an area called The Costa Calida still has a healthy capital growth rate of 15 to 20 %,as were not buying to sell Idont see it making much difference,you will rarely find me being negative anyway,and my threads will often contain humour as that's just me.Now back to fish & chips anyone who does want to know where the nearest is just ask and I'll tell you.

Obviously Gerry there is only you and me visiting Spain this year as I was the only one to reply to your thread(MEETING UP AT TRAMPOLIN HILLS),I cannot find la torre on my autoroute but I recognise the name I'm just struggling to place it.It was some of my neighbours down at Mazzaron who recommended the various restaurants that i go to there,also if you have heard of Camposol a large urbanisation on the MU603 there is a really nice Italian restaurant ,you have to go upstairs to the restaurant the views from there are very good too,there are lots of places to eat there this one though is right opposite the chip shop so easy to find its very plush and not expensive,let me know where abouts you are staying ie nearest large town,I have stayed a lot in Murcia upto six weeks at a time and driven hundreds of miles there, i visit any place anyone happens to mention or recommend,hopefully I'll know where your staying.Please take some photos while your there of any progress at Trampolin,hopefully there will be some major progress by the time I go in October.

la torre is the polaris world resort at torre pacheco near los alacazares more north of Mazaron. I will take photos both in july and sept  only trouble is Iam a bit of a technophobe as the last lot would not upload. Solution? Get the kids to do it.

Hi Gerry I love that area that you are staying, I'm staying at Los Alcazares in October,the mar menor is great it was my first choice for a home in Spain. If you have not been to Lo Pagan which is just north of San Javier Airport follow signs ! As you drive along the sea front you will see a what looks like a boat on the beach its a restaurant that the agent who sold me my Trampolin property recommended, obviosly i went there the day he told me,Part of the restaurant is outdoors built in the sea you can stand and watch the fish while waiting for your meal,one of the waiters bought a piece of bread out and caused a frenzy among the fish which had all the diners now leaning over the decking,obviously the waiter had done this many times.Hope you have not been there cause its a lovely place nice beach and park on the sea front.I found putting my photos on the site quite easy though some of them came on twice,but i do mess about with my photo's quite a bit which helps,I must say I'm a bit dissapointed more members do not participate in many threads, I thought a very interesting thread was the one where members said who they were and on what plot number they had reserved,as I was the last to respond to that thread back in December 06 and the nearest reserved plot to me was plot 48 I think and I'm on plot 51 obviously the plots between them and me have not been reserved am I wrong?,If I am lets see a new thread with our neighbours posting their names and plot numbers,anyone wishing to view the old thread of names and plot numbers will have to go right back to ALL THREADS to view the details of the few of us who bothered to reply.

Hi Dave and Gerry,

I agree with you Dave on the topic of more people posting their thoughts and general chit chat. This type of forum was set up to meet other people purchasing property on our development. Unfortunately, it all got a little side tracked in the very early days, by people posting scaremongering posts which effectively frightened and in some cases disillusioned a great number of active users. I think that we all now know these posters by the fact that they are all one post wonders and the content of their posts are usually non informative and designed to scare our good selves. For the most part, it is very easy for say a rival developer to register on this forum and thrash our hopes and dreams, by posting pure crap about TH.

May I suggest that a few of us police this forum and point out to first time posters that the content of their posts will not be taken seriously if we believe it to be untrue or worded in such a way as to scare or frighten regular users of this forum. I understand that this web site has it's own administrator, but it falls a long way short on topics like this!

(By the way Dave, we are on plot 38 2nd phase)

I am not suggesting that everything be set in a nicey nice type of way, but posts should be informative and perhaps take in more that just TH. This thread for example has mentioned nearby attractions and resturants, this is the way to go. Less of the doom and gloom, the world has enough of that, without us adding to it! 

HI joe1 I agree with you there's too much negative talk,how about this for a fact, I had REALLY been round the house's when It comes to looking for a house. In Spain last year I was visiting some site's for the second or third time,Ihad done my homework and had been on Forum's to see what the owner's had to say about their urbanisations,one place I really fancied was Mazarron Golf & Country Club but they were taking Huma their builder to court as they now had decided not to build the Golf course,I have since read that they won and the course has to be built. NONE of the Urbanisation's had their full licences or Escitura's,one of the Massive developers in Spain sent us a follow up letter saying had we enjoyed our trip to Spain and did we buy and what was the reason for our choice if we had decided. I read this letter and threw it on the side, unknown to me my wife picked it up and answered every question and returned it to them. The fisrt I knew of this was when I received a stinking email from them they pulledTrampolin to pieces and basiclly said they'll be waiting for me when I return cap in hand and beg to buy one of their properties, so I asked my wife what she had said to upset them so much , apparently she had used words like value for money ,plot sizes ,location etc etc they were fine one's to talk when their urbanisation residents were in all sorts of dispute's with them, and still waitng for escitura 3 years on . My agent sells for all of the popular urbanisations and when I bought he told me the s..t had hit the fan , Trampolin were going down the right road even though things were going to take longer , I nearly went down the road of building and then paying a fine later, though I do still have the land I'm glad I did not build as they now authorise a bulldozer not a fine. Right that can be the end of any doom and gloom talk the only thing different about Trampolin and other developers is they seem to be trying to do things right if slow . So joe1 your on plot 38 your virtually my new golf partner whats your handicap ? Mine is a bad back and I'm considering buying a raquet or two surfice to say I'm going to need some lessons .Now a message to all you silent members in a minute I will post this thread under the Grupo Trampolin video heading on the right of this you will see a number which counts the amount of view's as usual i will keeping an eye on this number for the remainder of the evening ,proving your out there viewing, your obviously as keen as me to view this site ,so are you one of my neighbour's if so what's your plot mumber ?

Hi All 

When we purchased at trampolin hill we had not even seen or viewed the area, we literally took the word of our agent that this was a good investment,  we also had no intention of buying a property abroad, just looking for a financial investment for our future.  After a few visits to trampolin we feel we have made the right choice as the views are  stunning.   

We visited our agent today to ask a few questions about progress which he couldnt answer but said that trampolin have all the licences in place and that the bank la caixa would not give bankers guarantees if this was not so.

After visiting grupo trampolin website today we have noticed that it has changed, the photos can't be accessed yet, looking at the plans there are quite a lot of changes, two of the hotels have been replaced by more apartments and there are fewer commercial site (take a look) maybe this could be a good thing, fewer people using the golf course.

We are still looking forward to meeting our neighbours and hopefully friends  for a long and leisurely drink in the sun and are still sure that everything will be great.

Hi everyone

We are Cathy & Paul and have bought plot 44 on phase 2.  We are going over for a week in August and are hoping to see that a lot more has been done. We'll post any photos that we take.

We have the same agent as Neil and Diane and have been given the same information about bankers guarantees etc

We have noted down all the restuarants and will try to sample them all while we are over there.  We have booked a villa on La Torre to sample what the lifestyle will be like when our villa is eventually ready!

We were told by everyone that we know who has bought in Spain to expext progress to be slow so although we are impatient for it to be ready we are not dis-heartened with what is happening at T H.  Paull is a builder and was very impressed with the quality of the villas, we noted there was some damage by recent bad weather but it was only superficial, you only have to look at damage caused by recent storms in this country!

I have just looked at the T H website and couldn't see anything different.  Are we looking at the right site (www.thetrampolinhills.com)?

The website we use is (http://www.grupotrampolin.com) it appears to have been recently updated with new format, plans and photo gallery. wording of advert is different also.  The previous format did show building progress which was more uptodate than the trampolin hills website.  I have emailed trampolin hills to see if there is a problem with there new website. 

I notice again that hundreds of people are reading this forum but very few are posting messages, surely these  people have infomation that they could share with the rest of us.

I have been trying since yesterday and have not been able to look at the photographs . I expect it is to do with the updating process. The old format is still available on (www.thetrampolinhills.com)  (DO NOT USE THIS LINK USE THE ONE FROM CATHY AN PAUL)I really believe that all is well and we will soon be meeting up for a round of golf and  a soda water and lime in the clubhouse.

I am going out in three weeks or so and Iwill post any news and photos I can get.
