Has anyone visited the site since April? We left on 21st and were told that the work was on schedule due to be completed in July. The glaziers were coming in the next week. We have heard that the hand over could be October.We have an excellent agent if anyone wants details.

Hello. I have a villa in Lomas de Roldan and I returned from there on Thursday 07 June 2007. I did take a walk over to view the final phase. Progress seems to be good and seems to be much better than the block I bought in last year (got access in January 2007). Many of the villas in the final phase have been plastered outside. They were preparing the internal areas of some for the spray painting, e.g. the iron stair rail etc. masked over with paper to allow spray painting of the walls. All the villas have the windows in place, but I don't recall seeing the glass, which I assume is one of the last items to be installed. One item to watch out for regarding the windows - make sure that there is obscure glass in the bathrooms! Seems obvious, but initally they put clear glass in all the bathroom windows in block 13 and it took a lot of fighting to get the Builder to correct the mistake. In fact some of the villas in block 13 still have the clear glass in the bathroom windows. Despite the Builder delays in block 13, I am very happy with my villa, the neighbours are great and it is a great place to buy, live or holiday in. I am sure you will be very happy there too.

Thank you for your reply. We are renting a villa in Estrella de Mar for 6 weeks in the Summer and we were hoping to be able to do work in the house if we got the keys. As there is usually a general holiday in August it would seem less likely that the houses would be ready. Good reason to return in the Autumn!

I AM MOVING TO LOMAS DE ROLDAN FULL TIME FROM OCT/NOV.  I WOULD LOVE ANY ADVICE ON DOCTORS, RESTUARANTS, PUBLIC TRANSPORT, GENERAL VILLAGE LIFE ETC.  WE WILL BE LIVING THERE ALL YEAR ROUND APART FROM JUL/AUG.  ANY ADVICE ON SNAGGING WOULD BE WELCOME.

We are buying in the final phase of the development and have just returned to the U.K. Painting was in the final stages and bathroom suites were sitting waiting to be fitted. There is a lovely outdoor cafe at the play area and is used by local people as well. There is daily transport to Los Alcazares, a town we really like. We talked to so many of the residents who were so happy to share their experience and help. The local electric shop is super and we have ordered eveything from there including lighting, fans and air con. They will fit these at short notice. There are men working on the estate tiling and puting up extra grids etc. Have you been given a date yet? We are expecting it to be sometime in October.

Forgot about your query on snagging. Inspecthomespain.com will do it for £400+ £100 for 2nd visit. Some people we talked to did it themselves and had only prblems with doors being poorly fitted and bits of paint missing. The last phase seemed to problems with bathroom windows being clear glass. Not sure what we will do yet.
