My family and I purchased in El Paraiso de Vera Playa in October 2005 and I understand that Block 7 is due for completion at end October / November of this year.   I therefore thought it timely to enquire if there are any other Eye-on-Spain members out there with comments to offer. Specifically, I am interested in any information on people’s experiences with the development. 
 
I understand that some people may have already moved into Block 2 and others are in the process of moving into Block 1. It would be great to hear from anyone who has or is going through completion or will be going through completion soon.

I have uploaded some pictures on the ‘shared photos’ area that show how well the development is progressing.
 
I believe that Paraiso de Vera Playa will turn out to be a good long-term investment and holiday home. How many front-line beach off-plan developments do you get that complete pretty much on time – two Blocks already in completion and we are only 3 months behind the original schedule on Block 7.
 
The on site facilities of paddle tennis, tennis and indoor hydrotherapy with direct beach access will be a great addition, as will the communal swimming pools for each Block. Being close to the nearby aqua-park is a bonus for the kids. Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar seem promising for the social side of things and three golf courses within ten minutes drive will allow some to exercise the clubs and others to exercise the sunbeds. The development is only 40 minutes drive from Almeria airport. 
 
There seems to be quite a bit of infra-structural investment going on with improved road access, and multi-million improvements to the coastal and beach areas. I see one owner has already placed her ground floor unit on the rentals market at http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p81919 - hope she is an EOS member !!
 
If this gets people’s appetites going to contribute to this message board and exchange experiences with fellow buyers, I would be very pleased indeed.

Dennis,

I purchased at about the same time as you in 2005 - also in block 7 which should be completed in October - small world eh!

I agree that the development looks to be a good investment and it's great to see it being delivered on time.

I spend a week in the area last autumn and this confirmed to me that the development was a great place to buy.

Nice to hear from a fellow EOS member who has bought in Paraiso and I am delighted to hear that your visit last Autumn went so well.
 
If you have any photos of the development from your visit you might consider placing them on the shared photos area of this website.
 
Are you looking to go through to completion – looks like more medium to long term investment strategies are the order of the day unless capital appreciation on the development proves strong. The general state of the market in Spain at the moment might suggest more conservative price rises are now the ‘norm’.  Anyone care to comment on the 'Paraiso' situation?
 
If our completion dates turn out to be the same, we might meet up?
 
If there are any other EOS members who are buying or have completed in Paraiso, hope to hear from you soon especially on issues such as snagging, community charges, mortgage options etc….
