Hi all,
I have recently received my notification of the recent meeting and the agreed annual fees. It all seems pretty reasonable, but the letter states that the fees have to be paid ASAP by direct debit. However, it does not state what the bank details are!
I have emailed the address in the letter requesting the appropriate details but i have had no reply as yet.
Does anyone have any information of where to pay these fees? i'd be grateful for any thoughts.
Gary.

We've e mailed them too and received no reply. Hoping lawyer has set this up but we're waiting from a reply from her too!
We'll let you know if we hear anything.

Hi All
We are all of the same mind I think regarding the bank details. We are still waiting for a reply, nothing as yet. If they give bank details then we can set up payment, but not knowing where the money is going is a bit of a worry, as is the operation of the lifts, which is a concern. I think that the idea is that once they have community money in the kitty then there will be progress. However a friend of mine who has had their place 18 months suggests that we should get the contact details of the president as he will be able to liase with builder and administrator on our behalf. Has anyone got his details/e mail address? I will e mail my solicitor too and maybe we can get some answers between us. From what i can gather from people I know that have had properties in Spain a long while this is quite normal but there are some issues that are up in the air at the moment that i think we need to try and find out more about.
Keep in touch everyone.

Hi all
Just back from the US & trying to catch up. We have some concerns re paying community fees so your comment MD was helpful: at least I will stop worrying about services being cut off. We are going out on July 10 & will be seeing our solicitor to collect deeds etc & will discuss the outstanding issues with her, including these payments & the incomplete snagging. Our bath & shower have still not been sealed. ( I am taking some sealer with me!!) Since electrity & water bills are not paid to the community I cannot see the administrator having authority to cut anyone off so I will check the legalities.
Glad you had good weather Gina, especially after Easter's cold spell. Hope it stays good. We are flooded out here but we missed the worse. It's normally good weather in England when we go abroad so I think ther may be something in this global warming idea.
Regards to all
Eileen

I also e mailed the administrator to ask for bank details. Her original letter also said that any future letters would be sent to Los Balcones so I told her that many of us are non resident and do not have keys to our post boxes.
She replied to say that the community bank account should be set up next week and that she will speak to the builder about the post boxes. She also said that she would write out agin to everybody with the bank account details to their English home addresses and e mails if she has them.
It is my understanding that once everyone has paid the first installment of the community charge then that is when she will arrange for the connection of the proper services for water and electric and the lifts should also be put on then. Until then I think we are at the mercy of the builder for continuous supply of these. We had no problems in our fortnight out there (now back 1 week). However over one night the smaller block had no power at all. This appeared to be either the fault of a contractor who was working putting fans into a flat and/or some men from the builders who also did some work in that block. The "cure" we witnessed was them just turning a master switch back on the following morning. The administrator does seem to have already contracted the pool cleaning company - it was maintained regularly while we were there but no cleaning of the steps or walkways is happening.

Hi All,
Have received the bank details today for community. I am keen to get ours paid asap so that we can all move forward now. The lifts really need to be in operation now so is everyone of the same mind now? Let me know your views. Would be nice if we could start to get the place looking pretty too. The palm tree and the mud in the middle of the pool is not a good feature so looks like it is up to us to arrange things from now on. Still haven't had any feed back on the back gate security though.

Hi all
Had an e-mail yesterday from the administrator to say she is setting up bank account today & will pass on the details asap. Seems like she doesn't know what she's doing!! We are going next week & will be setting the direct debit up with the bank. I am astonished that no one can use the lifts untill all fees are paid. Surely the answer is to give the keys to the lifts to those who have paid. We are also seeing our solicitor so there are a few things we shall be discussing with her.
It would be good to have the place looking pretty. We were told our garden area would be grassed & plants put in. We then found that they would not do this; so now we are getting it tiled over, very annoyed about it as it could have been done at the time the rest was done. They would not offer any additionals but it is clear that some people did get them & we did ask. Hopefully we can get this sorted as I was fed up with the cats coming on when we were over at Easter.
Hope all are safe & well.
Eileen

Hi All
I have also received the bank details. I am thinking of transferring the fees for June and July then setting up a direct debit for August onwards, hopefully then they can move forward. Is everyone doing the same? Please let me know your views.

Hi all
Anyone have any info on fees yet? Just wondering what everyone else is doing. Would like to know if my sugestion of transferring the due fees and setting up for August would be a good idea? I'm still waiting for a reply from Maria re snagging jobs that were supposed to be done now. Has anyone else experienced problems with getting things done?

Gina,
We're doing the same. I've arranged payment for the initial fee and a direct debit is set up to pay the monthly amount from then on.
Re: Snagging - we are still waiting for the builders to fix a few loose tiles on the patio. We've been at them for about 2 months!

We have given our bank details to the administrator and I have asked her if I need to contact my bank to arrange payments, but she has advised me, "You do not need to give orders to your bank, I will be sending the receipts every month".

Hi
Despite many e-mails to the administrator we have still not had the bank details. We shall be seeing our solicitor whilst out there; we go tomorrow; & will be discussing this & snagging issues with her. We shall also be seeing the administrator to discuss the same issues. Why is nothing straight forward in Spain?
Do you think we shall ever get to the stage of complete relaxation whilst there?
Best wishes to all.
Eileen
