The completion went well. A lot of waiting around for the bank manager to walk across the road to the notary but on the whole not too bad. Waiting rooms packed out when we left though.
The property was quite clean as I had heard about builders clean but was pleasantly surprised. Will only need a mop around when we are ready to put furniture in. The big disappointment was the rust marks running down the new cream outer walls. This was because the rails to the solarium were rusting and had not been painted properly. Inside one cracked tile in the bathroom and a damaged stair tread. Unfortunately it was the front edge of the widest step on the bend and shows up. I hear from a friend that this has not been sorted. As I am not able to be there to oversee it the agent was going to report back within the month.
Was told by others that we would be lucky if it was sorted but live in hope.
Also all doors were ajar when we went back to property although we had all the keys by then.
