Hi all,
Just stumbled across this website and forum after 'googgling' Jockey Villas ( why didn't I think of that before!), and pleased to see we are not alone.
We agreed to purchse a 2 bed room townhouse off plan in Dec 2004, and believe that after numerous construction delays, our is nearing completion. We have not been able to visit the development , but kind friends and relatives have visited and taken photos of the site over the last two years for us. Unfortunetly I cannot upload as they were not taken using our memory stick,so only have copies - though they are very much like those you good people have already shared here, though ours were only external shots.
We are worried about the market out there, and had original purchased with a view to selling prior to completion, as an investment. This does not seem a viable or sensible option for us now, as we could well lose out financially big style. We are therefore, curenrtly looking at obtainig a spanish mortgage and the rental opportunities, with a view to keeping the property until the market ( and the areas facilities)improves.
Did anyone out there persue the developer's mortage option, emailed to buyers, by them, earlier this year?
We have had little contact with anyone from FM, and plan to visit this summer. Unfortunatley, following a car accident which was not my fault ( in full body plaster with 2 fractures of the spine), this is now on hold as I cannot fly. Our only communciation currently is with our spanish lawyer in marbella, who has been of little help so far.
As i am now off work sick, i will share with everyone here any info I pick up,as I now have time to email out/gather more info etc.
Are only hope is that we chose a good project, and that this is not going to be a disasterous first property venture in the Costa del Sol. I am given to understand that there are only 5 unite left for sale? ( source Viva Estates). Anyone know if that's correct?
