Hi Everyone -
Just got back from a weekend in Spain and got the chance to explore the area around the site a little more. We came back feeling really positive about the whole development. As mentioned earlier, the site has been cleared and machinery was working on flattening it when we were there. We took our signed copies of the bank guarantee back to the site office and were told that the development will actually be completed approximately 6 months earlier than anticipated. Also, their solicitor is constantly back and forward to the Town Hall to sort out planning matters etc. Whilst we were wining and dining in a tapas bar nearby, we got chatting to a couple on the next table who actually bought the first property from Grupo Trampolin 5 years ago next to the site office (the original office - not the one at Trampolin Hills). They have been extremely satisfied with the service they got from Grupo Trampolin and reassured us that everything will be OK and are really enjoying their life out there. We took loads of photos whilst we were there and will post them on the message board as soon as we figure out how to do it!! In the meantime, I can say that there are some lovely places within a short drive away. Mula is a lovely town with excellent eating places and almost on our doorstep is a lake with breathtaking scenery surrounding it (actually we weren't quite sure if it was a lake or a reservoir but very pretty all the same!). Also went to Bullas but arrived there during siesta time so everywhere was closed so a bit too soon to comment - didn't feel we saw it in its best light. Albudeite itself was rather disappointing to say the least but the other areas more than made up for it. On the road to Mula, there are signs advertising a new hotel and shopping centre so there is obviously going to be plenty of interest in the area. We also saw flags advertising Trampolin Mula not very far away - not sure what this is going to be but probably info on the Grupo Trampolin website about this.
All in all, a very successful and enjoyable trip and made us feel that we will all be celebrating with a glass or two of bubbly even sooner than we think - keep the faith!!
Take care -
