Being new to buying overseas property, I am looking advice. I have been i=talking to Smart Investor Services (part of Trinity Mirror Group) about purchasing a property (3 bedroom Malva at €153,000. They have told me that the foundations have started to be laid and the developer (San Jose) is raising the price to €199,000 within the next couple of weeks, and if I get my Reservation fee to them ASAP they can secure the property for €153,000. Does this seem possible or is it a scam OR am I missing out on a fanastic offer? Please help if you can give any advice.

Added to this, the last price rise by San Jose was in June and this was only by about 3000 to 6000 euros depending on the property. I believe they only increase prices a couple of times a year and even then by a small amount.

whilst surfing the net a few months ago, I came across an investment company offering different properties for sale at our site. When I checked with my agent, it appears that some plots have been released to an investment company for different types of property. I was not very pleased at the time and did feel a bit wobbly, but decided to proceed with Jumilla. The San Jose properties are much more attractive as the investment properties are squarer and look more like chalet style. The price hike definately seems iffy though.........

Hi, I have been approached to invest in the above development by Smart Investor Services. They are offering "The Malva" a 3 bed semi detached villa at 153 000 euros off plan for 2 years.
Is anyone aware of this company ? I see that they are not on the official web site ?

I am told that the Malva 3 bed semi-detatched properties at Santa Ana del Monte Golf Jumilla are exclusive to Smart Investor Services and are not for sale to the general public !!
I will be visiting the site on an inspection visit with Smart Investor Services in 2 weeks. I will feedback my experience.

For 153,000 over 2 years. My question would be what could they
offer that San Jose can not and is San Jose, as a company building the
houses, a better risk than a company called Smart Investor Services.

All,
With regards to being a scam or not then SJ are building different properties within SADM. With regards to any investment company then my advice would be to do as you would with any other agent/investment companies and as you would in the UK. So get in touch with the agents/investment companies/developers, go visit at their offices in UK or in Spain and visit SADM.
Speak and visit direct to both SJ and your agent/investment company. If it seems too good to be true then it usually is!
