OK Guys
Firstly many thanks for the all the info you lot provided me it was a great help!!!
Secondly sorry I didn;t get chance to meet you all (back in 2 days time)
SO.........we arrived at Murcia late Tuesday night and couldn't resist a quick peek.......from the outside things looked OK other than a good tidy up. Off to bed we went as I had a 3:30 am start to get my NIE Number in the same day, so off to Alicante to stand on the pavement for 6 hours but that's another story!!!
Property Inspection was @ 9:00am Thursday so I went back to bed Wednesday waiting for D DAY.
Thursday morning an Atlas pick us up for the short ride from LA Zenia Hotel arriving on site it was a matter of seconds before our hearts sunk...Looking though the lounge window all we could see were workmen and dust sheets and rubbish. Immediately the Atlas shot of the car for his mobile...Some cage-ie moments later we were whisked from site to the solicitors (I know we were advised not to use Atlas Own but after a meeting we decided to us them) After this again we were whisked off to the builders why??? They still thought we were going to complete.......so into the office's to try and sort all this out with Maria...after 20 mins of talk's we were promised the villa to be ready by 21 hrs(being in the shop fitting trade we knew exactly how much work was required and no matter how many men worked on it it wouldn’t be ready) so we agreed to meet the following morning on=site with view to complete if ready.
Friday 9:00am on site property 10 times better but still a long way off...30 mins of discussions in the sun with me and Maria and still she wanted me to sign and pay...anyway as temper's started to get heated we walked away agreeing to meet again a 13:00......
By this time I was running out of time.... we as a family decided to pass power of iterny to the solicitor’s (NO I hear you scream) but wait we changed this so that we only needed on signature. As we are a family business time away from work for Dad and me together is somewhat limited. So by doing this one person only would have to be present...
Of down to Notary to sort this and our 13:00 appointment was missed at site 13:15 a screaming Maria rung my stamping her feet saying that the property was ready and that we have to sign, explaining that we already at the notary passing power of iterny. I then spoke with the Atlas rep on-site asking him if he would be parting with his money the answer being NO!!!
So Maria bogged off back to her office with her tail between her legs.
Back then to the Atlas office to try and get some answers!!!! which we did to be honest which then resulted in a site vist with Atlas which should give us the result we are looking for......
Anyway we managed to meet Alex the Russian guy that dose the window grill and ordered them. I have managed to book a villa at La Finca as off Thursday for 2 and a bit weeks for our family holiday and therefore will be out on site for 2 weeks solid to resolve this matter....
All in all a very productive trip and one I feel had to be made...I think the villa would have been in the same state when ever we vested and therefore nothing lost...
Have spoke with Atlas already after returning and they seem to by getting things moving....looking forward to getting back out there Thursday....
