The generator electricity went off at 11.0.p.m. last night (Mon).  It has just been re-connected today (Tues) at 1.30.p.m.  Apparently there was no fuel.  A couple of hours ago the maintenece man (Alex) delivered an undated letter on plain A4 paper with no heading stating that each owner who had signed for their apartment was due to pay water, generator hire and fuel and community maintenance.  My bill was for June, July and August 2006 and amounted to 1.200 euros.  There were no supporting documents to support their figures or calculations. I suppose those of you who signed before me will be having a demand for a larger figure.

I suggest you contact your lawyer to ascertain the legal situation.  My own advised me some time ago that I might be liable for fuel costs of the generator but not the machine hire costs.

We are horrified at what is happening out there and obviously hope the lady involved in the mugging is recovering from what must have been an awful ordeal. We have been strongly advised by our spanish lawyer not to complete until the first occupation certificate (which I believe is the same as the habitation certificate) is received and certainly the recent events including the utility bills suggest that this advice is sound. From afar it seems to us that these latest events should be used to try and pressurise the Town Hall into expediting the granting of the habitation certificate. They surely cannot be comfortable with the current situation if they have any scruples particularly if the police have been made aware of the "mugging" and earlier robberies. This may be a naive view and we have the utmost sympathy for those who have completed. However surely we should all be trying to use these events to put pressure on the two parties i.e. the developers and the Town Hall who between them have and are causing so much misery and frustration for all current and prospective residents.

I am posting this from an internet cafe.  I have just come from the Spanish Court House with me lawyer to place a denuncia against Finca San Antonio Properties..  Victoras cut my electricity, water and sewerage today.  This is what he promised last week when he said "you will see what happens to you"

This is my punishment for going to the Town Hall and for posting information to all of you on this site.  Other people here still have their supplies.

My lawyer says the judge will force the developer to reinstate the electricity and water as we added two clauses in my  deeds upon signing the esctitura to say that the developer was responsible to provide electricity and water and that he was also responsible to obtain the Habitation Certificate. He is therefore legally in the wrong and the police will intervene at the instruction of the judge.

This is a very unpleasant situation but I am determined to keep letting you know everything which happens so you do not fall into the same mistake I made - signing without the first habitation certificate and the promises which were made by their (Fernandez) lawyer that everything would be finalised by 15 June 2006.

I`m sure you have been as dismayed as we have been to read some of the recent messages about FSA. We arrived Thursday and found conditions were no where near as bad as we feared. The pools are lovely and clear. The grass is sorched particularly around the large pool , as you would expect with the strong sun , the grass round the other pool is quite green , the gardens are watered. we were pleased to see work had started clearing the ground by garage 1, presumably seeding and planting will happen when the season is right. The rest of the gardens look ok.We have security men onsite some times but it is hard to establish when they are meant to be here. The incidents here are worrying , however we are not helping ourselves. The garage doors can be closed manually and we keep finding them open particularly at night. As soon as we have electric we are confident we will have a secure complex. Our electric and water has not been disconnected and everything is working ok we are having a lovely time and enjoying FSA. I write this note with the support of residents with the same view..

We are all aware of the issues that need resolving but  it is important that we all remain positive of FSA , this negativity is not helping anyone and is being obstructive to getting our Licence.  Remember there are always 2 sides to a story.

John & Pat Bishopp are staying there for awhile and will keep me  updated . it is important to get another view.

best wishes from a very enjoable FSA  Rob & Terri Jackson

Hello fellow buyers or at least potential buyers, my name is Pat Bishopp and I have been living at FSA since March, returning to England for a fortnight in May and 6 weeks end of July and all August because of the heat. We have had and continue to have a wonderful time at FSA. We have had the odd power cuts, and our snagging list is not quite complete, well it wouldnt be this is Spain and nothing but nothing happens in August. As for muggings I had my handbag taken 3 times last year twice in Fuengirola and once at the 5 star Los Monteros Resort but the police have made an enormous effort, we have extra police and the Rumanians and Bulgarians are not in evidence this year, sorry if I sound Racist but we live near London  and when I vist Joh n Lewis & Marble Arch they are in force with their routine down Oxford Street. Since the mugging one of the chaps who went to the same supermarket at the same time, eve. was followed all the way back from the supermarked to FSA by the Police, he felt reassured. Should explain they think the lady was followed back from the supermarket, it is a very English supermarket with no security cameras so you are targets. We have not been charged for electricity or water to date. There are issues in people perception in things like we have a gym area with an indoor pool etc. as promised but no gym equipment, we shall have to equip this ourselves but with 72 apartments it should not cost too much. I think a lot of things are lost in translation or ones views at the time. All I would say to you is that I havent seen such a nice development for the price that we paid or even more expensive and we are still encouraging our nephew to complete on his 3 bed room apartment, he is my favourite nephew and I would not encourage him if I thought it was all going pear shaped. We also have an English lawyer who like English people is willing to arbitrate or discuss if there are problems.
